As Mcfarlane keeps pumping out figures, I've now got eight more examples I want to go over where I compare figures based on designs that Mcfarlane and Mattel have both tried their hands at. The two companies have had such a drastic difference in approaches to making these action figures, and I've had quite a bit of fun looking at the old and holding it up against the new and seeing how they fare against one another. I've been open about saying I think the DC line is in better hands now, but that isn't to say that Mattel's run with the license wasn't without merit and these comparisons give me a chance to look back on what they've done as well. GI Joe's Classified line is certainly one of the most engaging lines to follow from Hasbro at the moment and I've been loving the variety of characters that have been put out, especially recently! No doubt the Cobra ranks have been growing and growing with several army builders and big names being checked off, such as the Crimson Guards, Tomax and Xamot, and Dr. Mindbender, though the Joes have gotten their fair due as well with Dusty being a big character for myself to see revealed! With so many Cobra troops and operatives being introduced lately, the Joes are actually starting to feel outnumbered and with my newest list here I will be focusing more on the Joe characters for my most wanted! Kicking off 2022 for the DCEU was Peacemaker, and with it being over I can say I'm really happy to be a DC fan. The show was very funny, took its serious moments seriously, and just acted as a great extension of the DC world with plenty of references, great new characters, and definitely a warranting of action figures from Mcfarlane! They've been covering all the recent DC movies that have been coming out; however, seemed to have skipped over this HBO Max show which is a real shame, because I can think of 5 great examples of action figures that can be made based off of HBO Max's Peacemaker! !SPOILERS! Marvel's second year of Disney+ content is getting ready to hit screens with the upcoming Moon Knight and I can't wait for it to kick off! While there were ups and downs with the first batch of Disney+ shows I overall really liked the expansion of the universe and 2022 seems jammed packed with new characters and shows to supplement the films! That goes for the Marvel Legends toyline as well which has been brimming with more MCU figures than ever, with two entire waves of 2021 dedicated to covering these Disney+ shows! 2022 has already been confirmed to have at least one Disney+ MCU wave that will include a fantastic looking Hawkeye and Kate, with an epic Infinity Ultron as the build a figure, and I cannot wait to see what other characters from the tv side of things will be joining them! The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not slowing down at all after Endgame, and has in fact had some of their biggest projects in recent years such as Spiderman: No Way Home, and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which looks to be another big hit! The MCU is literally exploding bigger than ever though because aside from the movies, we're now getting big budget, Disney+ series that focus on different characters from across the MCU, new and old! WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye have premiered and they've been a lot of fun so far, with highs and lows, but for the most part I think they have been a great addition to the world and I am interested in a lot of what's coming up!
