Remaining Luke Skywalkers for Hasbro's Star Wars The Black Series vol 2

The Star Wars Black Series line has absolutely been alive with renditions of Luke Skywalker in the past couple of years. It feels like we've been getting a new Luke at every turn and as one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise that makes sense, and is very welcome by fans who are buying up every outfit of Luke's that we're being given! From my previous list talking about the possible Luke Skywalkers we could get in this line we now have him in his Endor poncho, Hoth speeder suit, his uniform he wore to Jabba's palace, as well as his yellow jacket he wore at the end of A New Hope, and others I didn't talk about like his upcoming Heir to the Throne black sleeveless figure look! With so many Luke's adorning our shelves, I'm circling back around to see exactly what we could exact from Luke in the line in the upcoming future, as I don't see the Luke train slowing down anytime soon! So after combing back through the movies and beyond, these are some of the possibly figures of Luke Skywalker to look for in the future of Hasbro's Black Series line!

Dark Empire and McQuarrie art

Delving into the expanded universe for a moment, we've been seeing a lot more of that recently from the Star Wars team at Hasbro and I hope to see that continue in the future! Their recent wave of comic book based figures are great, and I think Luke in his outfit seen in the Dark Empire limited series would be an awesome edition to the line! Luke Skywalker wearing the armor of his father, Darth Vader, was a very striking choice for the series and has already been realized in the 3.75 inch line previously. Another design that's seen life in the smaller scale is Luke based on the old McQuarrie concept art which I think as a whole would make amazing figures for the line!

Empire Strikes Back: Bacta tank recovery
Now I left this one off of the previous list because I wasn't quite sure if this figure would swing in today's collecting world, but I think this would make an amazing deluxe priced set. Luke with the Bacta regeneration tube would be a really cool display on the shelf to house him in, with some gimmick to make him seem to be floating! Hasbro has shown in the past that they're willing to do near naked figures with the likes of Wolverine, and while this outfit for Luke wasn't associated with any action scenes it is still an outfit of Luke that could be done as a figure.

The Last Jedi: Exile and Crait
Both of these designs are ones I've been waiting forever for! His exile outfit with the deep greens is one of my favorite looks from the sequel trilogy, and the entire sequences with him and Rey on the island were compelling and interesting to watch. Even better though was the final confrontation on Crait, which saw Luke don one of my all time favorite looks for the character! I thought it was a fantastic scene, and the shot of Luke standing down the First Order fleet is my absolute favorite shot from the whole sequel trilogy. The Vintage Collection managed to get a figure of Luke in his Crait uniform a while back, and I hope the Black Series soon gets it too, especially with the line running out of original trilogy Lukes to make.

Rise of the Skywalker: Ghost and Flashback training
These are two new possibilities for Luke coming out of the ninth movie in the Skywalker saga. For a time Hasbro seemed to love making Force ghost figures, with Ben and Yoda both being made in translucent plastic to mirror this form from the movies, and they could bring it back once more for Luke as he appeared as a Force ghost in the final movie of the saga. Hasbro already has the mold for Luke in his white outfit to use as well! The other option, however briefly seen during the film, is Luke from the flashback sequence displaying him teaching Leia the Force and how to use a lightsaber. It was a small but fun scene for the movie, and gives Hasbro another chance to do young Luke.
