A recent anime that has gained a surprisingly amount of figure reveals already is Kaiju No 8, a big headliner in anime News as its first season was immensely popular amongst fans. 6 figures in total have already been revealed for release, reuse present; however, it is appropriate reuse to give us multiple great characters from this series. I hope to see the S H.Figuarts representation for this series continue from Tamashii Nations with this list counting down my top 5 most wanted figures.
5. Out of control Kaiju No 8
This would be an easy possible repaint in the line which has already seen its fair share of reusing molds. The out of control battle with Kaiju No 8 in the series finale was a tense one seeing Kafka lose control and his Kaiju for rage at full strength, flushing a deep red as opposed to his more pleasing blue. The horrific faceplates that could be made for this version of Kafka would really seal the deal, and hopefully some retooling to capture his more jagged design.
4. Kafka Hibino
Talking about Kafka again, I'm going to vouch for him in his more civilian design. The Japan Defense Force uniform is one we are quite accustomed to getting in the line so far, and with Kafka being a bit larger of a character this would actually necessitate a new figure to accurately capture his size. While not as visually compelling as his monstrous alter ego, Kafka's uniformed look is still one deserving of the figure treatment, especially to pose him riding Reno's shoulders from their training.
3. Defense Force soldiers (Iharu, Haruichi, Aoi)
The Japan Defense Force is being filled out nicely in the line with Hoshina as the latest addition. Ihara and Haruichi would be another two that could easily utilize the slimmer male body mold we've been getting so far, albeit with their very unit head designs and hair colors. Aoi on the other hand as another physically larger character, which would give an easy reuse if they wanted to have him and human Kafka share a mold.
2. General Shinomiya
Debuting close to the end of season 1, the General is the one who faced down the out of control Kafka wearing armor fashioned after one of the prior Kaiju that had been brought down. It was an awesome battle between two powerful forces, and introduced the concept of weaponizing prior Kaiju bodies. With Kaiju no 9 and Hoshina both being checked off in the line, we need Kafka's next big opponent.
1. Kaiju No 10
Hailing from the later episodes of the season, Kaiju no 10 was a devastating force the heroes faced and an all time beast of a design that would look insane in the Figuarts line. I love his armor plating, the spiked tail, and the red coloration of the design. Any attempt at the figure would likely be underscaled even at his smallest form; however, I'd settle for that if it means getting this awesome looking Kaiju into the mix.
