We're almost knee deep into 2024, so I figure it is just about time for me to go into my top movie list of 2023. I haven't seen everything that came out last year, but I saw most of the movies that were on my immediate radar (along with some surprises recommended by fans) and at this point in time this is how my ranking for films of last year has turned out. When putting together the list I realized I had added two extra movies making this a "Top 12" as opposed to a "Top 10" list; however, it gives me more of a chance to talk about more films. I haven't put numerical listings beside the titles, just because it was hard to put them in a general order and things are still fluid with what I think was "better" than others. Ant-Man 3 fell a bit flat, though Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is one of my favorite movies to come out this year! In terms of the Marvel Legends figure representations the Guardians have been the ones to really win out so far between the two with an entire wave and a deluxe figure to their name, while Ant-Man and the Wasp only got part of a Build-A-Figure wave. Both films don't have too many more figures needed to round out the primary casts and characters, and so this'll be my breakdown of my top wanted action figures from Hasbro for these two 2023 films.  5. (Image Source) Marvel's phase 4 is behind us, a phase that took things a little slower following the events of the Infinity Saga but still gave us a lot of epic stories and introduced a whole slew of new heroes and villains to the Marvel universe! The stage is set for phase 5, and with lots of exciting projects on the horizon (and projects I'm not as excited about) here is my ranking of how excited I am for each Marvel MCU phase 5 project! 12. Echo (Image Source) I thought that the character of Echo/Maya in Hawkeye was fine, she wasn't my favorite character in the series, nor was she an MCU character that I was particular hurting to have a solo series for. I am looking forward to seeing more of Kingpin and Daredevil, and I'm sure the show has the potential to be very good. (Image Source) Marvel's 2022 slate has wrapped up and overall another decisive year for Marvel with a lot of projects fans weren't as happy with, while others were great crowd pleasers! Phase 4 has come to a close, with phase 5 hopefully bringing in some tighter story telling and more satisfying projects overall. The Marvel Legends line has continued to run strong though, and while just about all of the projects on this list have had great representation in the toyline so far there are still plenty of new characters and designs from the MCU shelf of my display that I'm waiting to have fulfilled! Moon Knight: Arthur Harrow (Image Source) I could easily see this character being the next release in the Disney+ waves of figures from the Moon Knight tv show, which overall did leave a good taste in fans' mouths! I've looked at the MCU's phases 1 and 2 for inspiration of what Marvel Legends figures I'd like to see made next, so the next logical step is to look into phase 3 which is arguably the strongest phase of films Marvel had in their first 10 years. So many incredilbe films and moments took place over this span of time, with the largest amount of films yet being released, and the culmination of the Infinity Saga taking place! With 11 movies to take a look at, these are the 11 characters I want most across these films from Civil War to Far From Home!
