With Transformers Legacy's toyline this year we are getting figures based on a lot of different shows and media all across the Transformers franchise! Of course there are still lots of G1 figures, but we're also getting more Beast Wars, Cybertron, some G2, along with Prime characters! The twist for the Prime figures in particular though are that they've been G1-ified. While I would have preferred fully faithful new figures based on the Prime designs, I do recognize that a lot of those original Prime figures were near perfect and this is a neat idea they're going with for now. So with Arcee, Bulkhead, and Knockout all introduced into the Legacy line so far and Prime characters seemingly being a mainstay for the concept, here are my next top 5 most wanted updated Prime characters! I recently wrote a list talking about my most wanted updated Transformers Armada figures from Hasbro, and with universe like Beast Wars and Shattered Glass among others getting updated figures I think it wont be long until lots of other Transformers universes are expanded out towards for updated action figures! G1's domination on the line has been very apparent for several years; however, with Beast Wars a huge shift seems to have occurred and I hope that continues on and we get lots of figures ranging from all other the Transformers universe! In particular Prime is one of the most mature of the franchise's series, and these would be my top 5 most wanted characters to receive updated modern action figures! Hasbro's new line of non transforming Transformers figures called the Red series hasn't come out yet but I'm excited about the line for one simple reason aside from that the figures all look really great so far: other universes will be included. So much of the mainstream Transformers lines right now (aside from Studio Series) is all G1 based with hardly any other Transformers series getting figures, but with the reveal of the Red series there was a point made already that despite all the revealed figures being from G1, other franchises from the Transformers universe would be included as well! That makes me excited for the potential figures to come from the line, and to not just expect another G1 line on the shelves!
