(Banner Image Source)   (Following Images 5, 4, 3, 2 Source) Mcfarlane has been delving more and more into the live action realm of the DC Multiverse with his action figure line recently with the release of whole waves dedicated to both The Dark Knight trilogy as well as Batman and Robin (as seen above). I am all for more live action representation in the line, and we've seen it continue with single releases such as Ben Affleck's BvS Batman design and Hathaway's Catwoman, not to mention Michael Keaton's original Batman suit. It seems that the live action Batman films are ripe sources for Mcfarlane at the moment, and looking at all our live action interpretations from the years, these are my most wanted figures from across the Batman film franchise.  5. This is a post that just occurred to me to write, and I'm so excited to because it is something that I've been thinking about ever since Mcfarlane's ownership of the DC comics line of action figures started! Mattel had the license for years and gave us countless figures, many of which I've been looking at with scrutiny as action figure designing has advanced and Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line has been one I've greatly enjoyed for these first two years. Already they've redone some of the figures that Mattel tackled during their years with the line, and taking a look at those specific figures I want to compare Mattel's DC figures vs Mcfarlane's! One portion of the DC universe that Mcfarlane line of DC figures haven't really touched upon until recently was the live action movie series. We had gotten two versions of Wonder Woman with the release of her sequel movie, and now we have a whole slew of them to celebrate the release of Zach Snyder's Justice League! I'm a huge fan of the DCEU, so I couldn't be more excited that the live action movies are getting so much attention right now, and from my previous list of top 5 most wanted DCEU figures we know have Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman, and Superman all in Mcfarlane plastic form! I've recently talked about my most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures from both the Justice League film and the Man of Steel movie, and now I'm heading on to one of my other personal favorite movies of the series: Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. A lot of fans were not happy with this movie, but I really enjoyed it and the more and more I think about the movie I like it even more for the thought put into it. A lot about the movie is misunderstood from what I can tell, like people genuinely thinking Batman and Superman stopped fighting just because their mothers shared a name (that's not the reason, just to be clear), but while I could go on forever explaining the movie I'm here to talk toys! We haven't quite delved into the movie universes with Mcfarlane's line as much as I would like, but hopefully that changes soon and in hopes of that these are my top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse figures from BVS! I cannot wait to see Zach Snyder's director's cut of Justice League as it comes out this year! I've been waiting to see the original intentions of this film since the theatrical cut was released, and at four hours and the addition of characters like Darkseid I couldn't be more excited! I've been waiting as well for Mcfarlane to dip further into the movie universe, more so than the two Wonder Woman figures we got and I hope that with the buzz the Snyder Cut has received Mcfarlane will cash in on the hype and make figures for the movie as well. With those hopes in mind, these are my top 5 most wanted Zach Snyder Justice League figures! (Image Source) 5. McFarlane had a good showing this past month with a ton of new figures for all of their lines, but the one I was most excited about was the continuation of their DC figure line and the characters that they're bringing to us in wave 2. In my original list of my most wanted videogame characters from the company's new line, I included the Batman: Dark Tomorrow Batman who we're basically getting with the blue, classic Batman variant of the Detective Comics 1000 Batman. I also included the Arkham versions of Batman and Joker who are both coming to us in the second wave of figures.  Thats three out of the original five I had on my mind so I thought of a new set of five to make up a new list, and here is my new list of DC videogame characters I'd like figures of! Just like Superman, Batman is one of the most popular superheroes of all time and in McFarlane's new line of DC action figures we have already gotten four versions of the character (Action comics #1000, Hellbat armor, Batman who Laughs, and animated) with a few other Batman characters helping to make up the roster of wave 1! It is very clear that the Batman mythos is a big part of McFarlane's new line of figures, and the character's popularity can attest to why. The future is almost sure to have many Batman figures on the horizon, and in anticipation of that here are the top 5 versions of Batman I want to see in McFarlane's DC line.
