(Images Source) While Godzilla's Ultimates! line of figures from Super7 is still planted in Heisei, Super7 have been vocal about their plans for the future regarding branching into Millenium at some point, Showa in the future, but unless I've missed it I haven't heard much discussion about the Reiwa era. Minus One's Godzilla has been one of the most successful releases in the line so far to no surprise with how popular the film itself was, and as the first big official non-Heisei release in the line I hope to see more from this diverse era of Godzilla that's provided us with some very experimental designs and concepts!   (Images Source) The big G himself is the focus on this post as I talk about the Godzillas across the franchise that I'd love to see put out by Super7 in the Ultimates! line of figures. We've seen them greatly improve their product in the span of just a few releases, with a lot stemming from the Heisei era, but most recently we branched out for the recent Minus One design which is one of my favorite figures in the line thus far. (Image Source) I've taken a look at my most wanted Heisei and my most wanted Millennium era Godzilla figures when it comes to Super7's line of figures, and now I'm looking back at where it all began with the Showa era! Super7 has stated that for their Ultimates! line of figures they're starting later in the timeline and moving backwards, so it still may be some time before we see Showa in the line (Millennium still hasn't been touched upon), but the world is full of surprises, and there are plenty of iconic creatures from the original Godzilla era that would look great in the line! (Image Source) While Super7 has been sticking to the Heisei series so far when it comes to inspiration for their Godzilla line of figures, they have confirmed that they plan to move out to other branches of the franchise as well. They specifically mentioned that they'd be starting with more modern designs and creatures before moving backwards through the timeline, so that's got me thinking that we're going to be seeing some Millennium designs before too long! The line up of monsters and designs so far have been epic, ranging from franchise favorites like Burning Godzilla and Destoroyah, to more surprising choices like Biollante's Rose form and the meltdown Burning Godzilla! The six figures revealed so far though share one thing in common and that would be that they all hail from the Heisei era of the Godzilla series, arguably some of the best films from the franchise! Now this is a line from Super7 that I'm really excited about! Godzilla has always been one of my favorite franchises and seeing them pick up the license and already show some really great offerings for wave 1 has me very excited about what they're going to do in the future! Super7 knows their Godzilla lore, and they're endeavoring to do every monster from the film series which is something the previous license holder, Neca, wasn't doing despite their Godzilla figures being great. Super7 is starting off with the 89' Godzilla which looks perfect, and then freaking Rose Biollante! Just like with their Simpsons and Spongebob lines, Super7 has gotten my attention with their Disney Ultimates! line of figures which already has three full waves of figures leaked and I cannot wait to see what comes next! The expanse from which they're drawing inspiration is really cool to this point, with figures hailing from Fantasia, Robin Hood, all the way to Lilo and Stitch! While articulation isn't exactly super, having all these iconic looks translated perfectly into figure form with a literal wealth of accessories to choose from for posing makes this line really flourish.
