(Images Source) Sonic the Hedgehog 3 taking the top spot on my list of favorite 2024 movies should tell you all you need to know about what I thought of the incredible conclusion to Sonic's first movie trilogy. It was a hilarious and emotional delight from start to finish, with Shadow the Hedgehog one of the sickest film characters of the year to debut, and Gerald and Ivo stealing every single scene they appeared in. The film also gave us a lot of what I was hoping to see between Shadow's videogame accurate backstory, the results of Jim Carrey's retirement handled (he came out of retirement!), and we kind of got the Chao by way of the Japanese restaurant. SPOILERS ahead for the post credit scene at the end of the film, which also gifted us with the live action debuts of both Metal Sonic and Amy setting up what is sure to be an incredible fourth entry in the series by 2027. 2024's movie season has come to a close with some true bangers releasing throughout the year! Horror movies in particular had an amazing year of creative releases as superhero films took a bit of a hiatus after dominating most years in recent times. Of course, I have not seen every film that released in the year of 2024 but I saw all of the biggest ones that stuck out to me that I wanted to see and with that I currently feel comfortable making this list of my personal top 10 favorite movies of 2024. Not everyone has to agree with my ranking, and I'm not saying that these movies are definitively the best and most well made movies of the year; however, these are my personal favorites that I was impressed with and had a great time watching last year! I will never get tired of talking about toys and action figures, especially as more new lines and more new companies emerge every year, and the existing lines continue to put out more and more of the designs, characters, and concepts that I love. For the 900th post I'm bringing in a new rendition of my post where I take a look at all the main toylines I collect and what figures I want most from those lines, and with the whirlwind of lines in recent times this list has expanded to include so much more. Unforunately the Lightning Collection from Hasbro seems to be dead, though we did get Dino Thunder Tommy before it ended, and from Star Wars and Transformers we've gotten both Que and Saw Gerrera. (Images Source) Jakks Pacific's Sonic the Hedgehog line has sure been busy steadily pumping out more and more characters from the Sonic franchise with each wave seemingly becoming more and more obscure. We're getting characters now like Nack the Weasel and the Ballhog! Longtime wants of mine from the 2.5inch scale figures have also been checked off like the Newtron, Ray, and more Chao with the Dark Chao. There are some prime candidates though to be put out next in the line that I hope to see as my next most wanted! 5. Cheese We haven't gotten a new Chao in the line for a while now, and I think that when they do go back to these adorable fixtures of the franchise it would be the perfect choice to put out Cheese! We got Cream in the line already, and she is in dire need of her iconic partner from the series. Jakks Pacific's Sonic the Hedgehog line has been heavy with the constant repacks; however, each wave still brings to the line something new, and in recent cases we have gotten some truly obscure characters! Big time names like Blaze and Cream have been checked off, with a personal favorite of mine being Jet the Hawk also getting an updated figure! Not to mention Nack the Weasel getting what may be his first official general release figure, ever! (Images Source) We have been getting more and more robotic Badniks in Jakks Pacific's line of Sonic figures which is very exciting! Primary characters are great, but getting more of the background designs to fill out the scenes is awesome and we've recently got some Badniks I was eagerly waiting for like the Burrobot, Newtron, and most recently the Caterkiller!! Eggman's army is packed to the brim though with all kinds of robotic enemies, and these are five more I hope to eventually see! 5. Jaws The Chopper is not the most posable of the Badniks that we've gotten so far (not that many are very posable to begin with), but it is such a classic design from the series and another underwater enemy would be the Jaws. With Jakks Pacific steadily working through giving us little playsets themed around different levels, a set themed around the underwater sequences would be the perfect way to get this guy into the line. 4.
