Top 5 wanted Jurassic World Mattel Hammond Collection Dinosaurs vol 3

Image
(Images Source) Mattel's Hammond Collection line of Dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures is beginning to get to that point where I feel as though they've nearly covered the swath of creatures we've seen on-screen throughout the now seven movies in the franchise. With the recent incredible releases of the JP3 Spinosaurus and the Stegosaurus we've checked off two major missing pieces from the collection. Beyond that, the Stygimoloch was a nice one to finally see released, the Pyroraptor was a very fun creature from Dominion to get, and we even got a stellar Allosaurus hailing from the Battle for Big Rock short film! With all that it has cleared out my previous most wanted list, and with Rebirth having premiered and debuting a host of new Dinosaurs and designs to the world I have a new most wanted list prepped for the ever growing Hammond Collection line. 5. Indominus Rex At this point the Indominus is one of the most requested dinosaurs in the line, and the last larger sca...

Most wanted figure from each major toyline I collect vol 3

Image
And just like that, 900 posts have been reached on this blog. I will never get tired of talking about toys and action figures, especially as more new lines and more new companies emerge every year, and the existing lines continue to put out more and more of the designs, characters, and concepts that I love. For the 900th post I'm bringing in a new rendition of my post where I take a look at all the main toylines I collect and what figures I want most from those lines, and with the whirlwind of lines in recent times this list has expanded to include so much more. Unforunately the Lightning Collection from Hasbro seems to be dead, though we did get Dino Thunder Tommy before it ended, and from Star Wars and Transformers we've gotten both Que and Saw Gerrera. From Star Wars to S.H.Figuarts to Sonic the Hedgehog these are my top action figure toylines and the figures I want most from each of them! Transformers: Sideways (Armada) (Image Source) The upcoming Red Alert from Armada look...

Top 5 Favorite Mattel Jurassic Park/World figures of 2024

Image
Mattel's Jurassic World line still has not given as a Hammond Collection Spinosaurus but we did get several fantastic releases throughout 2024 that shows the constant improvement of the line with lots of great species both new to the toyline and updated to nigh-perfect degree. My fingers are crossed that 2025 will finally deliver the Hammond Collection Spinosaurus I've been waiting for, but while I wait let's look back at my top 5 favorite Mattel Dinosaur figures from the Jurassic World lines.  5. Bajadasaurus (Image Source) The only figure from the mainline that will be making it onto this list is the Bajadasaurus, a wild species with bony prominences aligning the back and neck of this sauropod. While there are areas lacking in paint, the sculpt of this creature is a highly unique one that makes it stand out across the line when compared to others of its species type. 4. Pyroraptor (Image Source) The rest of this list will be highly Hammond Collection dominated, and the li...

Top 5 wanted Mattel Jurassic World Ankylosauria

Image
The next Dinosaur species type that I'll be looking at in anticipation of the upcoming Jurassic World movie are the Ankylosauria, one of my all time favorite species type with the titular Ankylosaur being one of my top two favorite dinosaurs of all time. This species has not seen quite as many releases by Mattel in their Jurassic World line of figures but it is one that I always love to see when made, and these are five more species I hope to eventually see made.  5. Nodosaurus (Image Source) The member of the Ankylosauria family has no club on the end of its tail, no spikes running along its body, it just had a thick body and tail lined with beaded plates of armor. This type of dinosaur species has always been one of my favorites of the Dinosaur species, and I'd love more to go with the Hammond Collection Ankylosaur and some of the smaller species we've gotten. 4. Crichtonsaurus (Image Source) The spikes along this dinosaur's body are very unique and seem to only plate...

Top 5 wanted Mattel Jurassic World Ceratopsians

Image
Mattel's Dinosaur line of figures had a great slew of offerings last year from both Hammond Collection and the mainline, especially with the release of Chaos Theory season 2. This year sees the release of the next big Jurassic World movie and I'm sure we will see a massive roll out of new products and new species with the Dinosaur brand headlining the entertainment industry again. Ceratopsians are a species type I haven't talked about quite yet on the blog, so here I'll count the five from these species I would like to see Mattel produce next! 5. Agujaceratops (Image Source) The crest of this dinosaur splits off at the head, turning into two rounded portions that each have their own horns marking the tips of either side. I expect there will always be some ceratopsians coming in the line each year, and this one would certainly appeal to any children who are wanting something that looks similar to a Triceratops, but big time dino fans will recognize as a new unique specie...

Most wanted Hammond Collection figures from each Jurassic film vol 2

Image
(Images Source) Hammond Collection has knocked it out of the park with some of their latest reveals like the Therizinosaurus, not to mention long time Dinosaur figure wants of mine like the Ankylosaurus and Carnotaurus have both been realized by the line! With the figures being produced currently being amongst the best in the line so far, with Mattel continously updating their technique, this list will be counting down my new rendition of each Hammond Collection figure I want most from each Jurassic Park/World film! Jurassic Park - Lex and Tim When I put the Brachiosaurus in this slot last time I was half-expecting it to be a pipedream but lo and behold Mattel went full force and put out a massive Hammond Collection Brachiosaurus last year! With that dino checked off the list it means that all on-screen dinosaurus from the first film have been officially completed by Mattel in this premium line! So for the first film's slot I'll be putting in some human characters who at this...

Top 5 next most wanted Mattel Hammond Collection dinosaurs

Image
(Images Source) Just yesterday we got the epic reveals of the Therizinosaurus and the Giganotosaurus which look to be two of the best dinosaurs to be released in the Hammond Collection line by Mattel so far! Mattel has certainly continued to perfect their craft with the Hammond Collection line and it really shows. A while back we got the Ankylosaurus which had been one of my most anticipated figures in the line, and for this revised list of most wanted dinos I am taking off the Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus because I know the bendy wire method is a smart choice but for whatever reason it appeals less to me than all the other prehistoric figures we get. There are beginning to be only a handful of on-screen dinosaurs for Mattel to choose from until we get more obscure cuts like Irritator and Metricanthosaurus,  and this list will be counting down my next five most wanted! 5. Stygimoloch I am a bit surprised that this dino hasn't been included in the smaller price point quite yet, and...
