I recently wrote a list talking about my most wanted updated Transformers Armada figures from Hasbro, and with universe like Beast Wars and Shattered Glass among others getting updated figures I think it wont be long until lots of other Transformers universes are expanded out towards for updated action figures! G1's domination on the line has been very apparent for several years; however, with Beast Wars a huge shift seems to have occurred and I hope that continues on and we get lots of figures ranging from all other the Transformers universe! In particular Prime is one of the most mature of the franchise's series, and these would be my top 5 most wanted characters to receive updated modern action figures! Following the Futures End storyline from the New 52 we got a really fun reboot of the Batman Beyond storyline in the comics themselves, canon with everything going on in the universe. It didn't run for many issues; however, was a really enjoyable read and then lead into the Rebirth run. I greatly enjoyed this era of Batman Beyond comics, even if it rewrote continuity a bit from what the end of Futures End set up, and Mcfarlane's surprise wave of figures based on Batman Beyond has got me hoping that even more characters from Beyond's cast will get the figure treatment! So before I get into my top 5 most wanted figures from this comic run, I have first an honorable mention! When it comes to Mcfarlane's line of DC Multiverse figures he has been pulling from all branches of media which I really like. While the brunt of the figures being produced are comic book based, that hasn't put other types of media off the plate as we've gotten a steady stream of characters as well from live action movies, videogames, tv shows, and animated media! It really makes it feel like a DC Multiverse of a line, with the potential for any character to be made into an action figure! With this approach clearly established, I thought about each of these media platforms and which characters/designs I want most from each, with these being my ultimate picks! With this post I'm also celebrating my 600th post on this blog which is an absolutely insane number to have reached! Mcfarlane surprised me when he did a wave of DC figures based loosely around the New 52 Futures End storyline. While a lot of the characters in the wave weren't from that storyline, we did get Batman Beyond, with the build a figure being the Batman/Joker Brother Eye cyborg seem throughout the series. I enjoyed reading Futures End a lot and am so excited to be building the Batman/Joker bot! I'm hoping too that the Futures End representation doesn't end there because there's lots of really great designs introduced in that series that would make for great figures, and these would be my top 5 picks! Superman and especially Batman have been getting lots of variations and treatments in Mcfarlane DC Multiverse line of action figures, but another figurehead of the DC world is no doubt Wonder Woman who by far deserves quite a few more figures to honor such an incredible character! We've gotten her DCEU look, her awesome Death Metal design, not to mention her look from the Last Knight on Earth, and Mcfarlane's own spin on the character; however, the character's history is long and expansive as is her costume wardrobe. Joker stands as one of the most popular and well known comic book villains of all time! He has headlined his own comic series multiple times, and appeared more times than can be counted with numerous famous storylines involving him in some capacity! Mcfarlane has done a very good job so far as well with incorporating this mad clown in their line of DC action figures with several versions captured in plastic form so form, ranging from his Mortal Kombat design to a couple comic book looks! With so many fantastic designs out there I'm reworking my previous list of most wanted Joker figures in the line to accumulate a new top 5 ranking!
