(Image Source) The Mandalorian and Grogu has finally premiered and it brought with it a whole second wave of figures to flesh out the cast of the film for Hasbro's 6 inch Black Series line. We've gotten big characters like Embo and Zeb who were missing from the first wave, not to mention army builders like the remnant Snowtroopers and a Mercenary Droid which I was both hoping to see developed into figures in the line! Having seen the film for myself I know there are several more designs that would make for amazing action figures from a film filled to the brim with alien and droid designs!  5. Hugo Durant (Image Source) Rio was one of my favorite parts of the Solo movie, so seeing another of his species appear it was a ton of fun, now as a food truck chef who serves Mando with information throughout the film. (Images Source) The latest and one of the most anticipated Star Wars projects has premiered and wrapped up its stellar first season. Maul: Shadow Lord has proven to be one of the best projects in recent Star Wars history, giving the focus to one of the best characters of the franchise and creating a well crafted story across 10 episodes with some of the most epic lightsaber duels ever. Hasbro's Black Series line of figures launched with four releases to celebrate the show, including some big names like Devon and the deadly Eleventh Brother, but there are plenty more characters I'd like to see before the line moves on.  5. (Image Source) A new Star Wars movie is nearly upon us and I for one am very exciting for the toy rollout for the movie and seeing it if gets the same amount of fanfare and backing that a lot of previous Star Wars movies have gotten from Hasbro! I remember the waves upon waves of new movie figures for films like Last Jedi and Solo, seeing new characters and designs put out with the hype surrounding the release, and so far we've gotten one wave of Mandalorian and Grogu figures with a couple of exclusives and hopefully lots more around the corner! With the release of the film still impending we don't have a full knowledge about the roster of the movie or even clear looks at a lot of the characters and designs in it, but from what we know and what has already been released these are the top figures I want from the new movie! 5. While the Black Series 6 inch line of figures from Hasbro can sometimes feel like it's slowed down, it no doubt still releases plenty of exceptional releases throughout the year and 2025 was no different! With the first waves of 2026 already upon us, this is my look back at my top five favorite Hasbro Star Wars Black Series figures from last year! (Images Source) 5. Luminara My jaw was literally dropped when I saw the Fan Channel wave reveal of Luminara, Shaak Ti, and Sebulba. Undoubtedly one of the best waves for Prequel fans, and while I personally prefer Shaak Ti I can't deny that Luminara came out as a more well rounded action figure. the soft goods have great detail on them, the head sculpt is immaculate and the design of the headdress still allows for plenty of head movement.  4. (Banner Images Source) The videogame side of the Star Wars universe has continued to have a large foothold in the 6 inch scale Black Series action figure line from Hasbro, delving into more and more new sculpts as opposed to the original repaint exclusive Gaming Greats line. Kyle Katarn is up for release in the next few months, and over the past few years we've received lots of iconic videogame characters like Malgus, Malak, Starkiller, the Republic Commandoes, as well as numerous grunts from Jedi Order and Survivor, not to mention other newer gaming characters like Cal, Merrin, and even Turgle! Since I last took a look at what female characters from the Star Wars universe I wanted most in the line we've gotten many ranging from Mandalorian's Armorer to more Leias and another Padme, as well as prequel Jedi such as the above pictured Shaak Ti and Luminara! Star Wars has always been a franchise with a strong sense for writing powerful female characters, and I've drawn up another post with my next most wanted female characters in the line! (Banner Images Source)   (Following Images Source) With the boom of prequel figures we are seeing in Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series line that comes with several new Revenge of the Sith based designs and characters finally seeing their 6 inch figure debut. Between last year and this year we are seeing several new Jedi Council members added to the line such as Ki Adi Mundi and Shaak Ti, as well as a prequel-era Palpatine with the Sidious we received last year, along with the Magna Guard being added to the line. With these all released or awaiting release that checks off a few Revenge of the Sith figures I was most hoping for, and with 2025 kicking off hot as the lava pits on Mustafar I have put together a new list compiling my most wanted Revenge of the Sith figures! Honorable mention: Mustafar Padme Taking the honorable mention slot on the list is going to be Padme. It has been a while since I've made one of these lists, and with good reason as Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series line has been giving us lots of much needed characters in the line from all across the franchise. Some of the biggest ones we've gotten as of late as been Savage Opress, Shaak Ti, a pipelined Gideon in his Beskar armor, but as many figures as we get there are still several outstanding characters and designs that over 10 years into the line I'm surprised we have not received yet.
