Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures based on The Dark Knight Returns comic series vol 2

Image
I knew it was only a matter of time until Mcfarlane got around to the Dark Knight Returns seeing as it is one of the most popular Batman centric storylines of all time, and they knocked a lot of the primary characters out in one fell swoop as a wave all together! In addition to the armored Batman that we already had, we now have Joker, Carrie Kelley, Superman, and standard Batman all based on this great comic and all looking great. The standard Batman is by far my favorite among the bunch but Superman's beefier, stockier design comes in at a close second. With this big dive into the Returns universe I'm hoping Mcfarlane won't forget about it soon because there are several more characters I'd like to see next from this universe, and I'll kick my top 5 off with a familiar character! Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse Flashpoint figures vol 2

Image
DC's Flashpoint event remains one of the most pivotal moments in the entirety of DC's comic history, and one of the most popular as well! Mcfarlane has already embraced this storyline with the inclusion of the Flashpoint rendition of Batman in their first year of figures, and while not specifically billed for the storyline we've also gotten The Flash and Reverse Flash who fit in nicely with any Flashpoint display! There's so many more great designs from this storyline that deserve to get updated figures, and in this list I will be counting down my top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse Flashpoint figures vol 2! (Image Source) Honorable mention: White Lantern Abin Sur Out of all the supplemental material for the Flashpoint world I really liked the Green Lantern story revolving around Abin Sur a lot! Seeing him become a white lantern in the story was an epic moment, and would make for a fantastic figure on top of Abin Surs not being very common in the action figure world either.

Top 5 most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse Blackest Night figures

Image
One big DC storyline that I haven't gotten around to talking about yet was the Blackest Night event, DC's first big foray into the "zombies" idea! It was accomplished in a very organic way too that allowed it to be a canon event, and even allow DC to revive several of its characters, while getting the chance to reuse some as Black Lanterns! It is an event that I'm a big fan of, and some of those original Black Lantern figures are some of the most gnarly DC figures to ever hit the market! With Mcfarlane in the reigns now with sculpt one of the best things about his figures I'm hoping he will take his own stabs at the Blackest Night storyline, and these 5 figures would be the ones I would most want to see made first! (Image Source) 5. Nekron The version that Mattel gave us of DC's embodiment of death isn't all that bad. The sculpting detail is actually quite impressive especially where the chest is concerned, and articulation is only really lacking when

Top 5 most wanted Hasbro Marvel Legends figures based on Spiderman: No Way Home

Image
SPOILERS ahead for Spiderman: No Way Home, Marvel's MCU swan song for 2021 and a movie that I think really hit home for a lot of fans! I repeat again, this post will have SPOILERS galore so if you haven't seen the movie yet, stay away! With the warnings out of the way, No Way Home is definitely one of the biggest hits of the MCU and it makes sense when you see what the movie achieved! Characters from across the Spiderman cinematic universe have been brought back and reutilized in fantastic ways, making Dafoe's Green Goblin one of the best MCU villains, and providing respectful returns of Andrew and Tobey's Spidermen! One thing that Marvel hasn't handled well though regarding the movie has defintiely been the action figure roll out! For the Marvel Legends line we got both of Holland's two prominent looks in the movie, as well as Doctor Strange and J. Jonah Jamerson...and that's it. After having not even the movie but just the trailers it is so apparent that t

Top 5 most wanted Super7 Spongebob Squarepants Ultimates

Image
Out of all the licenses that Super7 have been introducing for their Ultimates lines of figures I can say that I wasn't expecting Spongebob Squarepants to be one of those licenses! All these new lines have been nabbing Super7 a lot more attention recently, and a few of their lines in particular have got me interested to see how they progress too! Spongebob's designs are very toyetic in nature, but given how simple the articulation and the sculpting is I think Super7's approach of buttloads of accessories really fit this iconic television show. With Spongebob and Sandy both looking great and loaded with extra pieces to play around with, these are my top 5 most wanted characters to join the Ultimates line next! (Image Source) 5. Flying Dutchman In a lot of Super7's lines so far there has been an emphasis on very obscure characters alongside the well known, and so to throw in a more obscure character for this list I'm going to give the number 5 slot to the Flying Dutchm

Top 5 favorite Marvel Legends figures of 2021

Image
Proving to be the beast of the action figure world Marvel Legends has chugged out another massive year in figures! It seemed as though a new wave was popping up in store shelves every time I turned around, and I couldn't be happier to see a line getting such success! I'm primarily an MCU collector, so for my end of year ranking video for my personal favorites of the year there won't be much outside of the MCU realm of figures, but that isn't to discredit comic book figures or videogame figures. This is just a reiteration that its all personal preference, and my list can look wildly different from your list, but for my blog this list will encompass what were my personal top 5 favorite Marvel Legends figures of 2021 from Hasbro! Honorable mentions: Druig, Spiderverse Peter, Iron Monger, Scarlet Witch, Endgame Thor Kicking it off with a few honorable mentions I'm including Druig from the Eternals line who isn't a very dynamic figure, but one that I think captures t

Top 5 favorite Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures of 2021

Image
Hasbro's Lightning Collection line of Power Rangers action figures seemed to get hit hard by the delays in shipping this year with lots of figures still awaiting release; however, the amount of figures we still got were plentiful with some real winners across the line! Everyone has their preferences, each figure is somebody's favorite figure, but in my personal preferences this list will be going over the top 5 Lightning Collection figures I was most excited about and had the most fun with this year!  5. SPD Green Starting the list off is Bridge from the SPD series, one of the final members of the SPD cast to be granted entry into the Lightning Collection line and I think he came out great! He sports the same weaponry as the rest of the SPD figures, with his paint aps on point and that headsculpt dead on to the actor! (Image Source) 4. Zeo Green Keeping with green for a moment, Adam was another character to bring us closer to rounding out a full team of rangers and I think he i

Top 5 favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2021

2021 has come to an end and with it have come the releases for 2021 from all my favorite toylines! One toyline that has been steadily still chugging along has been Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line which I've been loving! Such a vast array of designs and universes captured in one toyline that's been digging deeper and deeper into the character history of the DC universe even if it is still a predominantly Batman line. 2021 brought a lot of great releases to the line with the Snyder cut figures, Last Knight on Earth, Injustice 2, and lots of others, but here I've boiled it down to my top 5 favorite of the year, with a few honorable mentions to start us off! Honorable mentions:  LKOE scarecrow, ZSJL Flash, Joker (The Criminal), Lex Luthor While I know fans have their jokes about the Last Knight on Earth Scarecrow being only "half a figure" or an "accessory" for Bane, it is still a release that I adore. It is so gaunt, haunting, and so cool to think that f
