Throughout Mcfarlane's two years with the DC license we have seen him go through nearly every corner of the DC universe in broad scales. We've gotten live action film, animated series, comic books, videogames, and dives into the biggest stories like Red Son, Flashpoint, Dark Knights Metal, Last Knight on Earth, Infinite Crisis, and I love how faithfully Mcfarlane has been pouring through DC's Multiverse! There's still so much to cover though, and with 2022 on the horizon with a whole new year of upcoming figures I thought I would sit down and recount what I expect to see in the line next year when looking at what has come already and trends from the line. So with a great second year coming to an end, these are the top five things I expect to see from Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line in 2022! A couple years ago, the yearly animated movie releases for the Pokemon franchise saw a reboot with the release of Pokemon: I Choose You. Previous to that, the animated movie series had been long running and came out with each coming game, but the story has been reset and a new Ash has been leading adventures with different friends, allies, and legendary beasts. The legendary Pokemon have always been the focus of the movies, and I'm already anticipating which of these special Pokemon I want to see next in the franchise. Thus far, we've gotten Ho-Oh, Lugia, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Marshadow, Mew, Mewtwo, and Zeraora; a decent line up for only three movies, but there's still a few I'd like to see. McFarlane's Call of Duty line is really starting to take off I think. The initial first wave I thought was fine, a lot of Black Ops 4 characters with a few thrown in from other games but for the most part, nothing too spectacular and this was also prior to McFarlane's new stance on including tons of articulation. Upcoming with have Richtofen and Woods from the Black Ops series, along with Captain Price, and another mystery figure. All solid choices and I'm excited to see what other figures come down the pipeline. So excited in fact, that I'm doing a top 5 list of the Call of Duty figures I want most from McFarlane toys. Along with a collection of five movies, phase 4 of the MCU includes 5 tv shows that will run on Disney's streaming service. These will tie directly into the movies, and so far consists of a stellar line up! Just as I did with the upcoming movies, here is my ranking of my anticipation and excitement for all 5 of the upcoming Marvel MCU phase 4 tv shows! (Image Source) 5. Hawkeye I really like Hawkeye as a hero. I think that using a bow and arrow is very cool, and he's been around as one of the original six Avengers! Even so, just like Black Widow, I've always been satisfied with him being a side character in the bigger films and never really saw him as the main character of his own story. I do prefer him getting a tv show over a movie, and the concept of him passing on the mantle like in the comics sounds cool, I'm just not as hype for this one as I am the others. (Image Source) 4. Marvel has finally revealed their phase 4 line up and while it has a shorter list of movies attached to it, with the complete absence of an Avengers film, the movies coming up are very exciting and Marvel seems to be considering phase 4 to include both their movies and their new tv shows which does boost the phase 4 project count to 10. For this list I'll be focusing on the movies only, with a list detailing my excitement about the tv shows coming another time. Black Widow I do really enjoy her character in the films, and am glad she is getting some spotlight after being just a side character in most of the films, but I do think she would better fit into one of the tv shows like they're doing for Hawkeye. I meant for this post to be released long ago, and I even had to remake it recently due to the reveal of wave two of Jakks' to be released line at SDCC this year. Included in that wave were Metal Sonic, Super Sonic, and Eggman who were three characters on my own most wanted list. I've found characters to fill their slots though, and in anticipation of this new 4 inch line by Jakks Pacific covering the Sonic characters, here are the top 5 most wanted Sonic figures I want in the new line! NECA's line of Ninja Turtles figures continues to expand and envelop the action figure world. Their figures from the original live action film were a hit among the collectors, as is their line covering the old 80s cartoon series which is growing at an unprecedented rate. Add to that the new line of video-game figures that they are starting to release, and it really makes your head spin once you realized they confirmed Secret of the Ooze figures for next year! Turtles seem to have become one of NECA's main focus, and they're making the most of that focus. Throughout the five season of the CW's Flash tv show that we've had already, the show has gone through a lot of villains. Almost every new episode brings with it a villain for Barry and the team to fight, meaning a lot of the Flash's comic book Rogues have already been introduced along with quite a few z list characters and even villains belonging to other heroes like Firestorm's Killer Frost! Even so, there are a few Flash villains from the comics that haven't made it into the tv universe yet, and here are the top 10 villains I'm still waiting to have appear on The Flash.
