(Image Source) Stop motion animation is something that has been lost in media usage these days with the abundance of CGI; however, this tactic of bringing to life larger than life creatures and designs has such a nostalgic and unique style that it makes me wish  we would see more of it. The recent Primevals was a glorious love letter to this age of film, and there was one master above all else that put stop motion on the map: Ray Harryhausen. His stop motion work produced several iconic films and impressed each time his projects were put to film. With a look back to the classic age of stop motion, these are my top 5 favorite films of Ray Harryhausen that I found most well done and most impressive.  5. (Banner Images Source)   (Following Images Source) I've seen attempts at a Scooby Doo line over the years, but Jada Toys seems to have found the perfect balance and formula to bring these iconic characters to line on the shelf. Hyper articulated, plentiful with accessories, and most importantly of all there is a strong presence of the ghosts of the series. That is what is truly pulling me in, and Creeper and Mummy look to be solid first entries into the line's antagonistic cast, especially with the promise of accessories that allow for their unmasking scenes! The Mystery Inc members themselves will be packed as well, with alternate face portraits and matching accessories such as Shaggy and his snack box! (Image Source) Super7's line of Godzilla Ultimates! figures looks to be vying for one of the best Godzilla action figure lines of all time! The line up of monsters and designs so far have been epic, ranging from franchise favorites like Burning Godzilla and Destoroyah, to more surprising choices like Biollante's Rose form and the meltdown Burning Godzilla! The six figures revealed so far though share one thing in common and that would be that they all hail from the Heisei era of the Godzilla series, arguably some of the best films from the franchise! With wave 1 due to finally start hitting our shelves in the near future, here's the Heisei era figures I hope to see going forward in wave 4 and beyond! 5. Despite the split responses it got from fans, I was a huge fan of the Masters of the Universe Revelations show that aired on Netflix, and cannot wait for the upcoming Revolution follow up! It brought He-Man into the modern era of entertainment for more mature audiences, and with it was concurrently launched one of the best He-Man lines in my collecting experience! Mattel's Masterverse line has been an absolute delight, and the line has only soared higher and higher with it now encompassing all He-Man related media which has allowed tons of characters and designs from outside the Revelations series to be updated in figure form! Now this is a line from Super7 that I'm really excited about! Godzilla has always been one of my favorite franchises and seeing them pick up the license and already show some really great offerings for wave 1 has me very excited about what they're going to do in the future! Super7 knows their Godzilla lore, and they're endeavoring to do every monster from the film series which is something the previous license holder, Neca, wasn't doing despite their Godzilla figures being great. Super7 is starting off with the 89' Godzilla which looks perfect, and then freaking Rose Biollante! Hasbro's Lightning Collection line of Power Rangers action figures seemed to get hit hard by the delays in shipping this year with lots of figures still awaiting release; however, the amount of figures we still got were plentiful with some real winners across the line! Everyone has their preferences, each figure is somebody's favorite figure, but in my personal preferences this list will be going over the top 5 Lightning Collection figures I was most excited about and had the most fun with this year!  5. SPD Green Starting the list off is Bridge from the SPD series, one of the final members of the SPD cast to be granted entry into the Lightning Collection line and I think he came out great! Something I absolutely love about Hasbro's line of Lightning Collection Power Ranger figures is how many villains they've put into plastic form since the line began! Villains are some of the most colorful and fun characters in any given Power Rangers series, and I think it is great that Hasbro has embraced not only the Ranger side of things but the villainous side of things too! We've gotten not only principle villains from a season, but secondary villains like the Psycho rangers, A-Squad, and Ecliptor, as well as grunts and monsters of the week! The Power Rangers world is really getting fleshed out by the line, and from the seasons we've already gotten established in the Lightning Collection line, these are my top 5 most wanted villains for figure form!
