2025 has come to a close for Mcfarlane's DC line, and it has been a bittersweet year. On one hand they were delivering constantly great action figures and an amazingly diverse range of character selections (who would've thought we would be getting Darkstars and  Malcolm Merlyn has non-Platinum main line releases?) but on the other hand we were delivered the news that Mattel will be taking back the license ownership. We will be getting figure through 2026 by Mcfarlane but after that the future is unclear of Mcfarlane's line will end in its entirety as Mattel takes over. Regardless of what the future brings, McFarlane's DC comics line of figures is still one of my main collecting focuses, and with a plentiful supply of amazing figures being released in 2025 this is my retrospective of my top ten favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2025!  (Images Source) 10. With major heroines like Power Girl, Huntress, and Starfire coming out as of late, the tables are turning in a nice direction and this post will count down the female characters I hope to see finally come to the line next! Lots of characters have been getting multiple figures and variations throughout the line, and recently it feels more than ever that we're getting so many new characters brought to the line for the first time. A lot of these characters have been some of my most wanted characters such as Jay Garrick, Impulse, and Batwoman. We also are finally getting a Power Girl, and Wonder Woman as well finally got a very sought after figure based on a standard design. Silver Age Joker, Batman, Earth-2 Robin, Orion, and so many more have been put out in their classic looks and so I wanted to take a general look back and count down my top 5 most wanted classic comic designs from Mcfarlanetoys.  5. 2024 was another banger year for Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line with waves that brought us older movie designs, classic DC comics designs being more and more prevalent, and a promise already for more great figures in 2025. I've tallied up my personal favorite figures from Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line for the 2024 year based on sculpting, character and design choice, and what I had the most fun with. Armored BVS Batman The Batman v Superman wave of figures was one of my most anticipated of the year with Mcfarlane giving us several of the characters and designs from the movie in one of the strongest movie waves yet. My personal favorite from that wave was the armored Batman! The silver paintwork of the figure really makes it pop, the scuffing and scratched detailing of the armor brings it even more into the realm of realism, and the cloth cape has a very unique text...

We had seen the concept of platinum chase releases from Mcfarlane before, but 2024 was really the year where the concept rocketed and we saw what felt like a platinum chase for every regular release that came out. These ranged from simple black to blue repaints for Batmen, to clever re-use to give characters different costumes, to sometimes even releasing brand new characters to the line! I had a lot of fun seeing what characters and designs would be released in this fashion, in many cases that being obscure choices that otherwise likely wouldn't have gotten a regular mainline release, and for this list I won't be focusing exclusively on what figures I thought were best overall but what platinum chases I found really clever, surprisingly, or well done!
