(Images Source) The latest and one of the most anticipated Star Wars projects has premiered and wrapped up its stellar first season. Maul: Shadow Lord has proven to be one of the best projects in recent Star Wars history, giving the focus to one of the best characters of the franchise and creating a well crafted story across 10 episodes with some of the most epic lightsaber duels ever. Hasbro's Black Series line of figures launched with four releases to celebrate the show, including some big names like Devon and the deadly Eleventh Brother, but there are plenty more characters I'd like to see before the line moves on.  5. While the Black Series 6 inch line of figures from Hasbro can sometimes feel like it's slowed down, it no doubt still releases plenty of exceptional releases throughout the year and 2025 was no different! With the first waves of 2026 already upon us, this is my look back at my top five favorite Hasbro Star Wars Black Series figures from last year! (Images Source) 5. Luminara My jaw was literally dropped when I saw the Fan Channel wave reveal of Luminara, Shaak Ti, and Sebulba. Undoubtedly one of the best waves for Prequel fans, and while I personally prefer Shaak Ti I can't deny that Luminara came out as a more well rounded action figure. the soft goods have great detail on them, the head sculpt is immaculate and the design of the headdress still allows for plenty of head movement.  4. (Banner Images Source)   (Following Images Source) With the boom of prequel figures we are seeing in Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series line that comes with several new Revenge of the Sith based designs and characters finally seeing their 6 inch figure debut. Between last year and this year we are seeing several new Jedi Council members added to the line such as Ki Adi Mundi and Shaak Ti, as well as a prequel-era Palpatine with the Sidious we received last year, along with the Magna Guard being added to the line. With these all released or awaiting release that checks off a few Revenge of the Sith figures I was most hoping for, and with 2025 kicking off hot as the lava pits on Mustafar I have put together a new list compiling my most wanted Revenge of the Sith figures! Honorable mention: Mustafar Padme Taking the honorable mention slot on the list is going to be Padme. Jazwares' Micro Galaxy Squadron line of Star Wars ships continued in 2024 with lots of great ships and designs from the Star Wars universe being checked off from all across the saga, and with 2025 well under way this will be my ranking of my top 5 favorite Micro Galaxy Squadron releases of last year.  (Images Source) 5. B-Wing An early release of the year was the B-Wing which was a lot of fun to mess around with. With wings that could be articulated and a completely rotatable cockpit this ship has plenty of features to play with making it a good hands-on ship in the line.  4. U-Wing Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars films in the series and the release of the U-Wing was a wonderful first entry into that film for the spinoff film. It comes with plenty of play features making it a playset all its own with multiple inner rooms, sliding panels for entry, and posable wings that captures the ship's flight and landing modes.  3. He checks off yet another incredible character from the series who has been brought to 6 inch form similiarily to Jesse, Fives, Pre Vizsla, and Season 7 Maul before him. Here is hoping that the presence of the Clone Wars in Black Series does not waver anytime soon, and these upcoming five characters/designs are the ones I hope to see soon! 5. Ahsoka (season 1) We've made ourselves collection of various Ahsokas from across the franchise at this point, with a few based on her Clone Wars appearances, now stretching to Rebels, Mandalorian, and the Ahsoka show itself. As of yet we have not gotten her original design in the line though which would represent a lot of those early storylines from the series.  4. Honorable Mention: Retro Flint (Images Source) Starting off the list is going to be an honorable mention. The next wave of Retro figures for the G.I. Joe Classified line was pipeline revealed and shown to be including a new version of classic Flint! I've been waiting for this one. I wasn't a huge fan of how limited his abdominal articulation became with the big vest piece of the original release, so I'm hoping this will be my chance to get a classic inspired Flint whose articulation is better handled. G.I. Joe Classified Series Blowtorch (Images Source) Keeping with G.I. Joe, they finally revealed a Joe that I've been waiting for for a while! While not as characteristically prominent in the original show as other characters, Blowtorch was still an easily recognizable member of the Joe ranks with his brightly colored jumpsuit and the flame spewing equipment he hauled around. The figure looks to include all the great reds and yellows that will make the figure stand out on...

Recent years have made big strides in rounding out a lot of long time wishlisted characters and designs for the Black Series line of Star Wars figures by Hasbro. The wait for a Super Battle Droid and Droideka were shockingly long but have finally become a reality, not to mention iconic original trilogy designs like Wicket and the Endor Rebels have been released by the line as well. There will still always be characters the line has to get to though, and with this May 2024 edition of Hasbro's top 5 omissions in the line so far I've thought up characters from across the franchise who have shockingly never been released in the Black Series line when you think of  "which characters have/have not had 6 inch scale toys from Star Wars yet?" 5. 2022 introduced me to one of my new favorite toylines out there, being the Jazwares Micro Galaxy Squadron figures! A roughly in-scale toyline of Star Wars vehicles and ships that captures all the details of these iconic and awesome vehicles from across the Star Wars universe! I was already extremely impressed with the line's first year offerings, but the second year kicked things up a notch with even more vehicles from across the series' timeline, and some of the best ships to be released so far! I had a hard time narrowing down this list, with ships like the Snowspeeder, Jedi Interceptors, and Tie Bomber all being inched out of the race, and these remaining five are what I'd rank as my top favorite Micro Galaxy Squadron ships of 2023! 5.
