Top 5 favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2020

Image
I can safely say without a doubt that Mcfarlane has blown me away by their line of DC Multiverse figures. I've long waited for DC comics to get a line of retail action figures that stand out to what a lot of the other big toylines have, and I think we've reached far beyond that point now. It has been a fantastic first year for the company and the line, and while I hear complaints about the line being too Batman focused I know that the character sells and that as long as the figure quality stays as good as it is they can do whatever they want. I'm just happy to have DC figures with top grade articulation and absolutely amazing sculpting work put into them. With Mcfarlane's first year with the license coming to a close, here is a look at my personal top five favorite figures from the line! 5. Teen Titans Cyborg I've always been a huge fan of this iteration of the Teen Titans and I grew up watching them on television. I hadn't even thought of the idea of this versi

Top 5 favorite Hasbro Star Wars the Black Series figures of 2020

Image
2020 has been a great year for Star Wars the Black Series from Hasbro. With no movie coming out that the line has to cater to, the line really had a chance to breath and catch up on characters with this lull. We got a great offering for the Prequel saga, while Empire Strikes Back celebrated an anniversary with a slew of new figures, not to mention Return of the Jedi, Clone Wars, and the Mandalorian all getting a great amount of new figures as well! It really is a great time to be a Star Wars collector, and 2021 is looking similarly great with figures like Moff Gideon and Bo Katan just being the start of a great year. However, before we get there I want to spend a post reviewing what I personally think are the best figures to come out this year from Hasbro for their Black Series line! 5. Incinerator trooper The new mold being used for the Stormtrooper is nothing short of astounding and looks great on the shelf in any pose, and they've already used it a few times but my favorite use

Top 5 favorite Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures of 2020

Image
Year 2 of Hasbro's Lightning Collection line has come to an end and it has been an outstanding year that really make me excited for Hasbro's ownership of the license. I thought that their ranger figures were great, the villains they were doing looked great, but they keep upping the game by introducing vehicles, a deluxe price point to do larger scale monsters, and overall I'm just amazed by the wonders Hasbro is doing with the franchise! I can't wait for their third year which is already looking great, but before 2021 begins I'm going to go over my top 5 favorite Lightning Collection figures of 2020. Honorable mention: Psycho ranger 5 pack The first team pack for the line was a bittersweet experience for many. The red and blue Psychos had already been released, meaning many were buying doubles in order to get the other three members; however, the fact that the Psychos were chosen for the first team pack is in itself amazing and they look great assembled.  (Image Sou

Top 5 favorite Hasbro Transformers Studio Series figures of 2020

2020 has been an incredible year for the Studio Series line of movie figures from Hasbro as we hit so many major characters that fans have been waiting on for so long. From the start of the year to the end, we've gotten wave after wave of awesome figures and character choices, and for the end of the year I am here to talk about my top 5 favorite figures to come out this year. So with 2021 looking to be another incredible year for the line, lets step back for a moment and look at some of my favorite 2020 releases.  (Image Source) 5. Dark of the Moon Soundwave Coming out in the first wave of deluxe figures to start the year, getting an updated version of the Dark of the Moon Soundwave was something I'd been waiting on since the line began. While articulation isn't the most agile, the sculpting is incredible and I've always been a big fan of the design. The wheels situated behind his head, the sonic disks aligned along his arms, not to mention the added bonus of the Laserb

Top 5 Decepticons I want to see most in the Transformers films

Image
Just like I went over with the Autobots from the Transformers universe, I'm coming back around to talk about the Decepticons I want to see most in the live action movie universe. After Bumblebee, things really seemed to be turning around for a better direction and with a new movie announced for 2022 I can't wait to see what the future holds for the franchise! Decepticons are by far some of my favorite Transformers as I'm typically more of a fan of the bad guys, and for the most part I've thought that we've had a slew of awesome Decepticons on the silver screen so far (barring the fourth and fifth movies), and these are the top 5 Decepticons I want to see most in the Transformers films next! (Image Source) 5. Thundercracker and Skywarp in more involved roles I think it is crazy that we went as long as we did without these two major G1 classic Decepticons in the movies and when we finally did get them it was in blink and you'll miss then roles as random Deceptico

Top 5 Autobots I want to see in the live action Transformer films

Image
Transformers has announced that they will have their next live action movie releasing in 2022 hopefully, covid allowing, and the gears in my head have already started to think about what Transformers I'd love to see added to the live action universe and adapted for the big screen. While a lot of characters have been translated less than faithfully, such as Galvatron, Hot Rod, and Hound, I've really enjoyed still many of the live action version of the characters and especially the Bumblebee movie shows that the company is taking the property more seriously. So with the future of Transformers looking brighter, here are the top 5 Autobots I hope to see in the live action Transformers films! (Image Source) 5. Warpath One of the most interesting Autobots in terms of contrast to the Decepticon/Autobot  usual dividers is Warpath who becomes a more Decepticon-like tank with a penchant for destruction. He would be awesome to see as a heavy hitter in the live action film where most of th

Top 5 most wanted Star Wars: The Black Series Padme Amidala figures

Image
I've recently been going through all of the main characters from Star Wars and talking about what versions of them are left to be done in the Black Series line from Hasbro; however, when it comes to Padme I'm going to be doing a simple top 5 most wanted because there are dozens of outfits she wore in the movies that could be adapted. She has the most prolific wardrobe in the Star Wars universe, with many of them being beautiful and intricate gowns and dresses, though she has her fair share of combat based outfits as well. We finally got the first Padme in the line last year, and I've been eagerly waiting for more since she is one of my favorite characters of the saga. So here is my list of top 5 Padme figures I hope to see in Hasbro's 6 inch scale Black Series line. (Image Source) 5. Naboo pilot disguise Starting off with one of her more action oriented outfits, her Naboo pilot disguise is one she wore for a brief period during the opening scenes of Attack of the Clone

Top 5 most wanted McFarlane DC Multiverse Batman figures vol 2

Image
Batman has for sure been the most plentiful character to be made in Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line by far. Being possibly the most popular DC character of the modern age I'm not surprised to see so many versions of the character made, especially when so much of the modern DC landscape revolves around him in many ways. While I for sure want other characters to get their due at figures as well, we've gotten some pretty outstanding figures based on the many different versions of Bruce Wayne, and I highly doubt that train is going to stop anytime soon. From my previous list I made about my most wanted Batman figures, we've since gotten the Rebirth suit design, Flashpoint, and Batman Beyond just recently! So I'm focusing in on the big Bat again and which versions I'd like to see most in figure form from Mcfarlane! (Image Source) Honorable mention: The Return of Bruce Wayne I'm not highly attached to this version of Batman in any meaningful way, though the cavema
