Who ever thought that NECA would be digging so deep into the original 80s animated TMNT television series? The depths to which they are fleshing out this cast are incredible, and I'm even looking at some of the recent characters and am needing to look them up to remember them from the show! That's no complaint on my part because I love the devotion the company is giving to this classic series, and since I last talked about this toyline from Neca we have gotten a lot more figures! Irma, Zach, Mutagen Man, Usagi, and the Neutrinos were all lined up on my last most wanted list and have become checked off at this point! Neca continues to be a mainstay of the toy world, producing incredible looking action figures of sometimes obscure sources such as Puppet Master! They've already revealed a ton of awesome upcoming products for the year, such as The Boys figures, more TMNT, and even a return to the Friday the 13th franchise! The last time I talked about my most wanted figures from Neca, I included the android Krang suit which we got, along with Traang and Granitor (finally), teases by Neca that a new Predalien is in the works for the future, and while we didn't get the Godzilla 2000 design we did get the Toyko SOS design which is incredilby close. The license for Godzilla has expired for them anyways. With 2021 already being a great year for Neca and their reveals, here is my updated vol 4 of my most wanted Neca products! Neca continues to plow on through with their line of Ninja Turtle figures based on the original 1980s cartoon series. They've shown no sign at all of stopping anytime soon, and from my last list amount this topic we've gotten the Rat King, Muckman, and the Punk Frogs, as well as plenty more who weren't part of my previous most wanted list. NECA has recently hit a home run when it comes to their major focus on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise! They currently have three lines running from three different parts of the Turtles franchise, covering the Turtles in Time videogame, the original 80s movies, and the 80s cartoon show which has been very prolific with its offerings. Fans are eating them up, and while Neca has said that three series is a enough for now, I wholly expect them to move into another era of TMNT whenever they finish out any of the current lines! NECA's stamp in the TMNT toy history keeps on chugging as Toyfair showed off a ton of new figures for their 1980s cartoon line! So many long awaited figures were finally revealed like Splinter and Baxter Stockman, as well as a completed Android Krang after the tease we got a while ago. Also on display were multiple versions of the Triceratons, the first of which was revealed a while ago too. Suddenly, my vol 2 of most wanted figures from the old show has been checked off nearly completely and I've got a vol 3 here with another top 5 of my most wanted figures from the original TMNT 1980s cartoon! Recently we got the reveal of NECA's second wave of Turtles in Time action figures for their TMNT videogame line. While for the most part, aside from Slash in wave 1, the figures are all repaints from the 1980s cartoon line I think that the new paint jobs and the accessories really make these figures stand out. I love the pixel design that a lot of them have, and the hover boards as well as Shredder's blast effects really look incredible. My first wishlist for this line included Raphael and Mikey, both of whom we're getting in wave 2, as well as more Foot soldiers in different colors which NECA has confirmed they will do eventually. That leaves me thinking it is time for a part 2, and here is my updated list of top 5 Turtles in Time figures I want from NECA! NECA has always been really great at delivering constantly fantastic figures that fans love. Especially when it comes from smaller franchises that otherwise wouldn't be getting the action figure treatment if NECA wasn't around to give us these figures themselves. They've always been high end, and this year we have gotten a ton of really great products that it was hard to narrow things down to five slots for this list.
