(Image Source) The Mandalorian and Grogu has finally premiered and it brought with it a whole second wave of figures to flesh out the cast of the film for Hasbro's 6 inch Black Series line. We've gotten big characters like Embo and Zeb who were missing from the first wave, not to mention army builders like the remnant Snowtroopers and a Mercenary Droid which I was both hoping to see developed into figures in the line! Having seen the film for myself I know there are several more designs that would make for amazing action figures from a film filled to the brim with alien and droid designs!  5. (Image Source) A new Star Wars movie is nearly upon us and I for one am very exciting for the toy rollout for the movie and seeing it if gets the same amount of fanfare and backing that a lot of previous Star Wars movies have gotten from Hasbro! I remember the waves upon waves of new movie figures for films like Last Jedi and Solo, seeing new characters and designs put out with the hype surrounding the release, and so far we've gotten one wave of Mandalorian and Grogu figures with a couple of exclusives and hopefully lots more around the corner! With the release of the film still impending we don't have a full knowledge about the roster of the movie or even clear looks at a lot of the characters and designs in it, but from what we know and what has already been released these are the top figures I want from the new movie! 5. Recent years have made big strides in rounding out a lot of long time wishlisted characters and designs for the Black Series line of Star Wars figures by Hasbro. The wait for a Super Battle Droid and Droideka were shockingly long but have finally become a reality, not to mention iconic original trilogy designs like Wicket and the Endor Rebels have been released by the line as well. There will still always be characters the line has to get to though, and with this May 2024 edition of Hasbro's top 5 omissions in the line so far I've thought up characters from across the franchise who have shockingly never been released in the Black Series line when you think of  "which characters have/have not had 6 inch scale toys from Star Wars yet?" 5. 2022 introduced me to one of my new favorite toylines out there, being the Jazwares Micro Galaxy Squadron figures! A roughly in-scale toyline of Star Wars vehicles and ships that captures all the details of these iconic and awesome vehicles from across the Star Wars universe! I was already extremely impressed with the line's first year offerings, but the second year kicked things up a notch with even more vehicles from across the series' timeline, and some of the best ships to be released so far! I had a hard time narrowing down this list, with ships like the Snowspeeder, Jedi Interceptors, and Tie Bomber all being inched out of the race, and these remaining five are what I'd rank as my top favorite Micro Galaxy Squadron ships of 2023! 5. Continuing my look at my favorite action figures from 2023, this'll be my list counting down my favorite Star Wars figures from the year! We certainly got quite a few, especially in representation of new shows, and many of these figures were quite impressive! From newer media to more classic media, we got lots of fantastic figures in Hasbro's Black Series line, and this list will count down my top 5 favorite from 2023! Honorable mention: Commander Appo (Image Source) Starting off with an honorable mention, the Commander Appo figure is a simple repaint to come from the Obi Wan Kenobi show branded figure line, but one I was extremely excited to get as an updated release of the 501st trooper! Not only because they're Anakin's fighting forces, but their presence in the original Battlefront 2 made this trooper ever more iconic for me growing up, and I'm excited to finally have the figure in my collection with the updated trooper articulation! 5. Since I last took a look at the collection Hasbro has delivered on a lot of the characters I wanted most in the line with Saw Gerrera, Droidekas and Super Battle Droids coming soon, lots of Jedi, the Dark Trooper, Bad Batch Echo, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka, and more! We've gotten a few more shows with Andor, Mandalorian season 3, and the currently running Ahsoka, as well as all the past movies that built up my childhood, so with the collection growing as much as it had recently this is my newest rendition of my top 10 most wanted Black Series Star Wars action figures! (Image Source) Troopers and other army builder type characters have always been a major part of Star Wars from the beginning with the different Storm trooper classifications, with Droids and Clones coming next, and all other sorts of subgroups that action figure collectors could buy multiple of for their display! The Black Series line has pumped out a few more of the army builders I was hoping for most in the line, from the Endor Rebel to the Incinerator Trooper, as well as finally getting confirmation that the line will be introduced Super Battle Droids and Droidekas waaaay later than they should've. (Image Source) With season 3 of the Mandalorian now behind us, another full season's worth of characters and designs have been introduced into the world of Star Wars that the Black Series line by Hasbro will hopefully take full advantage of soon! We got so many of my most wanted figures that came from season 3 such as Ahsoka, the Dark Trooper, Magistrate Karga, and Boba Fett in his armor, so the stage is set for another most wanted list that will likely be cleaned out just as fast with Mandalorian being one of the hottest properties for Star Wars right now!
