Most wanted Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures from each CW Arrowverse show

Image
If there is one thing that I have to give Mattel's DC Multiverse over Mcfarlane its that they really jumped into the CW figures headfirst and pretty consistently gave us representation from this awesome live action superhero universe! Mcfarlane's first wave brought us a pretty good Green Arrow from Arrow; however, we haven't gotten anything from this universe since then and I'm really hoping the CW figure train comes soon because its a universe I love and have been watching for years. Seeing the universe grow, more characters from the comics become introduced, and seeing all these characters interacting with each other is truly a treat and I've made a list of my most wanted figures from each of the live action CW Arrowverse tv shows! Top 5 Outsiders characters I want to see in the CW Arrowverse

Image
Black Lightning's latest season took a big leap in turns of comic book superhero content as the team from the comics, The Outsiders, was assembled with several superpowered characters joining the show to massively expand the roster of heroes. A lot of Outsiders from the comics made their live action debut and CW debut in this season, but I'm hoping there's room for the team to grow and in particular these are the 5 Outsiders from the comics I hope to see in the Arrowverse. Metamorpho This is likely the most well known and important member not to be in the show so far; however, I'm putting him lower on the list just because I'm unsure how likely it will be for him to join the fray. Metamorpho is a major metahuman character with a very non-human look, which pushes the limits of what Black Lightning has done so far ...

CW's Crisis on Infinite Earth episodes 4 and 5 finale spoiler review (Arrow S08 EP08/Legends of Tomorrow S05 EP01)

Image
After a bit of a hiatus the CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths event has returned to screens with the final two episodes airing back to back last night! It was a really crazy ride from start to finish, and the finale of the whole thing definitely shook up the CW Arrowverse in a big way that will surely impact a lot of the storytelling going forward! There were also a fair bit more of cameos, including a huge one that no one could have guessed was coming! So without waiting any longer, here is my review of the final two episodes of Crisis on Infinite Earths! Characters I want introduced into the CW's Arrowverse

Image
The CW's Arrowverse has non-stop added dozens of characters to the shows' universe since the start of Arrow way back in the day. Many characters are added each season, with many lower ranked villains even getting whole episodes devoted to them thanks to the meta of the week gimmick Flash has been using. Tv shows more than movies have more time and leeway to introduce more characters, and with several shows through which to do so there may come a day when their supply of DC characters may start to dry up! While I know that may be an extreme thing to say, that is how I really feel about this DC universe. It really feels like any and all characters may end up getting the spotlight eventually; however, while MANY nobodies from the comics have appeared throughout the shows (I doubt the movies will ever touch upon Block, Geomancer, or Kilgore) there are still some major heavy hitters who are yet to show up, so here are the characters I am hoping will soon be introduced into the u...

Black Lightning S02 EP02 Review

Image
(Issa being welcomed to the family, but for only one episode) (Image Source) It took me a little while but I'm finally getting to my review of the second episode of Black Lightning's sophomore run. I've been a bit busy lately, with school and the sort, but it has given me more time to think about the episode and let it sit...and truthfully, I haven't thought about it a lot. It wasn't because I was busy, because my mind is also thinking about what I've been recently interested in such as Flash's latest episode, the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie, and the upcoming toy events at the end of the month; I think I wasn't thinking about the episode just because there wasn't much to think about. There is some stuff I would like to cover though for the sake of reviewing, but there was one part of the episode that really irritated me and if you've read my previous reviews you know what it will be about. To start off things off, it felt like the s...

Black Lightning S02 EP01 Season Premier Review

Image
With the return of CW's superhero shows this fall we also got the electrifying return of Black lightning with a strong start to their second season. The episode hit us fast with several heavy events, and some decent set up for the future of what will transpire on the show. While we so far haven't been given a direct indication of where everything is heading, we can expect that we won't be in for a standard ride. (Image Source) To start off, it looks like the beginning of each episode will have a fancy title card sequence that adds a lot of flare to the show, especially since the episodes always have really elongated and elaborate titles that obviously have work put into them. It's a nice touch to set it apart from other shows on the CW. Boy, what a start. A lot of stuff went down and I'm not sure where to start, I guess with the negatives because it can only get better from there! My only real complaint deals with the fight scene between Cynanide and the vi...

Black Lightning S01 EP13 Season Finale Review

Black Lightning ended its freshman season last night with an episode that managed to pull off a dramatic, action packed finale that manages to avoid narrative pitfalls of earlier episodes, for the most part. The conflict of the ASA came to a head along with the storylines concerning Tobias and Lala, and everything wrapped up cleanly heading into next season. The largest offense this season has done that I have to get out of the way before talking about anything else, is the complete and utter uselessness of the Lala plot line. Tobias explained the return of Lala in this episode, basically saying that he payed money to have someone revived (That seems really useful, like, really really useful.) and that it is somehow a side effect that the revived gets tattoos of people he killed? He even gives Lala a fancy villain name with "Tattooed Man," though I have to wonder why Tobias would kill Lala himself and then spend so much money bringing him back to life...especially when it w...

Black Lightning S01 EP12 Review

It happened! Tobias Whale has finally returned to the show! Was it a great episode! How was the climax? Does it make things feel more urgent going into the final episode of the season after this episode? Well, lets discuss that! At this point in the season, this episode finally started to pul together all the loose ends that have been hanging, and the start of that was the return of Tobias Whale. Turns out he is working for the ASA, but the little seeds of hints that he will try and take it over were great to make him less of a lap dog henchmen. I'm glad that he also mentioned his sister, as not mentioning her would be strange, though I did think it was a little weird that Tobias didn't mention her to Black Lightning at the end of the episode and took all his frustration out on a random henchmen in the beginning. With Tobias' return we also got the return of Khalil, which had bits of emotional weight such as when he went to visit Jennifer but otherwise he felt strange; ...

Black Lightning S01 EP11 Review

Image
Black Lightning was back, and with an episode that felt strong and gave us a focused story from beginning to end. The incarceration of Jefferson Pierce made for a good hour of television, and there were plenty of highlights throughout to keep me entertained; though still a little peeved at some of the choices the show is still making despite only two episodes remaining in the season. (Spoilers ahead for the episode) (Image Source) I do want to preface this review though by saying that throughout the entire episode my television had some kind of metallic buzz that whirred whenever there was any kind of sound. It was wasn't on any of the other channels, and it continued through commercials, so the episode leaned towards ear grating for me lol. One issue that I have at this point is that the show doesn't seem to be building towards anything, it feels like nothing much has progressed beyond Jefferson finding out Tobias was back, and that the ASA existed and was collecting c...

Black Lightning S01 EP10 Review

Image
(Image Source)   (Image Source) Black Lightning returned again this week with an episode that makes a great big leap when it comes to some plot points, but seems to muddle through others that the show hasn't quite gotten a hold of. Jefferson and Gambi's conflict was pushed to a new realm this week while the overarching ASA story made strives in making itself a more compelling antagonist. Lala was back again being undead, and more about Jennifer's powers were discovered. Let's dive in first with what the episode did right! Before this episode I was very devil may care about the ASA and everything surrounding them, they just seemed like another shady company that was doing some bad stuff, which we've seen in almost every format and franchise everywhere. Seeing the ASA in action though was refreshing and I'm opening up to them as the villains of this season (Though I still sorely miss Tobias Whale, who was absent for the third episode in a row!). I do ho...

Black Lightning S01 EP09 Review

Image
(Image Source) Black Lightning aired its ninth episode last night and the plot thickens with development! Jennifer's powers were unveiled, more of Gambi's past was explored, and we got more set up for what is to come, all within a (mostly) solid episode. When Jennifer's powers first surfaced in the last episode, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. She is one of my favorite characters on the show, and I knew that at some point she was going to gain her powers; however, I felt and still feel as though they should have waited until next season to have them come into play. This episode is where I finally decided that the show is just doing way too many things at once, we have the story with Tobias Whale, who was missing for the second episode in a row now, along with Anissa gaining her powers, Gambi's past with the ASA which is now a major story beat, along with the mystery of Lala coming back to life and Jennifer getting her powers. It all feels like too much to ...
