Nakamo

The Alolan games were where Wicked Cool Toys picked up the Pokemon license so it is really where this current line of Pokemon began before Jazwares picked it up. We've gotten quite a few Pokemon from Alola though not very many since the start of the line which was front loaded with Alolan Pokemon. I think this region still deserves lots of focus, with so many more Pokemon species to explore, and this here will be five Pokemon that would fit into the 2" battle figure assortment! Dewpider I have always been a fan of the spider Pokemon in the franchise and I find the water typing for Dewpider making for a great design overall. The green legs contrasted against the blue is a pleasing combo, and I love the ball of water that its head is encased in! 4. Crabrawler I remember seeing this Pokemon around a lot when Sun and Moon were released, and I'm surprised that it wasn't rolled out by Wicked Cool Toys and Jazwares already...

Mega Construx' buildable line of Pokemon figures has come far since it started, filling out its roster of Pokemon and sets very nicely, thouhg they are far from finished. Alongside their larger lines, they've been running smaller Pokeball sets that contain usually a first evolution Pokemon, but always one small enough to fit into a 7 dollar price point. That series hit 10 waves recently, and to celebrate that, I'll be going over what I personally think is the best figure from each wave. With many more waves hopefully in the pipeline, here are the figures that I think shone the brightest out of each wave. (Image Source) Series 1: Abra Wave 1 made a smart choice by delivering six very popular Pokemon from the original game, all of them of high standard, but none more so than Abra. Mega Construx has released their wave of sets based around the Detective Pikachu movie, sans the Torterra which is slated for release further in the year, and while they've said that they have no more sets planned in conjunction with the film, there's still plenty of Pokemon for them to do one day. While I don't expect them to be branded as Detective Pikachu, these are the Pokemon from the film that haven't been done yet that I want to get buildable sets for. Rufflet Like a lot of Pokemon in the movie, these guys just show up in the background of a couple scenes, but I thought that they looked neat while they were on screen and their evolved form of Braviary was a sight to behold when it flew past. There really isnt that many fairy type Pokemon for me to choose from for this list, many of them like Clefairy and Jigglypuff have already been made in the line. Here I look into the smaller, first evolution Pokemon that would fit into Mega Construx's line of Pokeball sets for their buildable Pokemon line. Swirlix While I'm not the hugest fan of this Pokemon's evolution, I think it is very cute in this form like a pink cloud floating along. Comfey Just like Klefki, this Pokemon gets a bit of a bad rap due to the belief that it is just a flower necklace like is usually worn in more tropical locations. The most consistent stream of Pokemon sets from Mega Construx come in the form of their Pokeball sets which on smaller builds of Pokemon, typically revolving around the small first evolutions. I've gone through several different types of Pokemon that I would like to see released in the Pokeball series, and this time I will be counting down the top 5 bug type Pokemon I want to see appear in the Pokeball sets from Mega Construx (Image Source) 5. Pineco This was one of the first bug type Pokemon introduced following the original Kanto games, and would work easily as a build due to its static form and blocky appearance. It has a nice color, piercing eyes, and as a display piece in the line it can fit seamlessly alongside other forest based Pokemon previously released, especially those that came with tree builds that this Pokemon could potentially hang from. So far I have talked about the fire types and water types that I've wanted most from Mega Construx's line of Pokeball sets, revolving around first evolutionary Pokemon. Following that up, I'm going to look into the grass type first evolutions that I want to pop up soon in the buildable line. Truth is, I've never played Pokemon Sun and Moon. I love Pokemon, but I just haven't gotten to play any of the more recent Pokemon games and so me ranking which Pokemon from that region that I want most in buildable form may be a bit strange. Alola was the second region though that Mega Construx delved into and they're going full steam ahead with their builds, so I thought it was still appropriate to think about which ones from the region I would like to see next, based upon my limited exposure to them and what knowledge I have about them.
