Now this is a line from Super7 that I'm really excited about! Godzilla has always been one of my favorite franchises and seeing them pick up the license and already show some really great offerings for wave 1 has me very excited about what they're going to do in the future! Super7 knows their Godzilla lore, and they're endeavoring to do every monster from the film series which is something the previous license holder, Neca, wasn't doing despite their Godzilla figures being great. Super7 is starting off with the 89' Godzilla which looks perfect, and then freaking Rose Biollante! Yes, the price is high on these, but this line is shaping up to be everything I wanted from a Godzilla action figure line, and after this epic first wave these are my top 5 most wanted figures going forward! Who ever thought that NECA would be digging so deep into the original 80s animated TMNT television series? The depths to which they are fleshing out this cast are incredible, and I'm even looking at some of the recent characters and am needing to look them up to remember them from the show! That's no complaint on my part because I love the devotion the company is giving to this classic series, and since I last talked about this toyline from Neca we have gotten a lot more figures! Irma, Zach, Mutagen Man, Usagi, and the Neutrinos were all lined up on my last most wanted list and have become checked off at this point! The Boys was an instant hit when it premiered, bringing a darker, bloodier, more adult take on the superhero brand starkly different from most of the capes media we see on screen. It has continued to be a widely popular show with season 3 on the horizon, and Neca is taking the reigns of mass retail toy producer for the series with Homelander and Starlight as their obvious first two figures in the line. Having recently binged the series, I couldn't be more excited for the characters of the show to be brought to figure form by Neca, and I'm looking forward to seeing what figures come next! Neca continues to be a mainstay of the toy world, producing incredible looking action figures of sometimes obscure sources such as Puppet Master! They've already revealed a ton of awesome upcoming products for the year, such as The Boys figures, more TMNT, and even a return to the Friday the 13th franchise! The last time I talked about my most wanted figures from Neca, I included the android Krang suit which we got, along with Traang and Granitor (finally), teases by Neca that a new Predalien is in the works for the future, and while we didn't get the Godzilla 2000 design we did get the Toyko SOS design which is incredilby close. Neca made a huge announcement recently with the reveal that they would be taking on the Universal Classic monsters starting with Frankenstein's creature! That figure looks incredible with the great sculpt work we've come to expect from Neca, not to mention the eerie black and white visage. They've already teased an image of the Mummy as the next release in this line, and as an eternal fan of these classic monsters I've been thinking about which creatures I hope to see down the line and these are the five I came up with! Neca continues to plow on through with their line of Ninja Turtle figures based on the original 1980s cartoon series. They've shown no sign at all of stopping anytime soon, and from my last list amount this topic we've gotten the Rat King, Muckman, and the Punk Frogs, as well as plenty more who weren't part of my previous most wanted list. When Pacific Rim came out in 2013 I was blown away and while I knew it wasn't a critically great movie it was an absolutely fun time at the movies with a great world built in which giant robots and monsters fought one another. To go along with the movie, Neca took on the figure licensing rights and gave us some really spectacularly sculpted and painted figures based on the Jaegers and Kaiju from the film. While I wasn't as big a fan of the second film I still enjoyed the designs of the robots and the monsters, with Diamond Select this time around taking on the figure rights. Both companies have ceased their lines of figures for the franchise, and after some really great offerings, I'm looking back on my collection and thinking about the top 5 Pacific Rim action figures I wish we got in figure form.
