(Image Source) The Flash movie has hit hard with an awesome looking Super Bowl trailer, and Ezra Miller controversy aside I'm so excited for so many things in this movie from Supergirl to double Batman to kind-of-Flashpoint to freaking General Zod!! More than that, I'm excited to see what kind of toyline rollout Mcfarlane will give for this movie! Past movies have all gotten a whole assortment of characters, but the most recent film, Shazam 2, only got the titular character and I'm hoping that won't be the case for this film. We've already had the reveal of the main hero himself in his new streamlined costume design, and hopefully it doesn't stop there because here are 5 more characters from The Flash (2023) I hope to see from Mcfarlane! 5. Mcfarlane has been hitting on all cylinders when it comes to their DC Multiverse line and with each year it feels like he is continuously topping himself when it comes to design, character choice, and overall amount of figures being produced! I couldn't be happier with this as we see more and more characters and different versions of characters pouring through in plastic form, and I've recently even gotten some of my most wanted choices such as Starro, the Crime Syndicate, Henry Cavill's Superman, and Grant Gustin's Flash! So with the future of the toyline bright I'm coming around for a part 2 of my top 5 most wanted DC figures from across all DC media, and with it I will be celebrating my 700th post on this blog! So much of it has become about the DC Multiverse line, and with it becoming possibly my favorite toyline I'm collecting right now I am happy to give the 700th achievement to this awesome line! Mcfarlane's DC line continues to expand and grow with new characters and new designs of characters being added at every turn, and the line seems to have more and more figures being released every month! This being my seventh go around now on the subject I won't waste much time on an intro, I'll simply explain that with the line exploring all the facets of the Multiverse with so many alternate versions and designs of characters being utilized, I'm looking at what characters we have in the line already and which designs for these characters I'd like to see next! There's something about Mcfarlane's approach to Build-A waves that I really enjoy. The smaller character count of the waves is appealing, making it so you don't have to buy so many figures in order to build the collectible figure, which in some cases larger waves make you buy figures you may not want. He also makes sure that every figure in the wave directly relates and originates from whatever story he is adapting into figure form! Death Metal, The Suicide Squad, The Dark Knight Returns, even the Futures End wave while not being strictly Futures End involved only Batman Beyond related characters. I really like this approach, and with that, these are my top 5 most wanted waves of figures in the line!
