Marvel's second year of Disney+ content is getting ready to hit screens with the upcoming Moon Knight and I can't wait for it to kick off! While there were ups and downs with the first batch of Disney+ shows I overall really liked the expansion of the universe and 2022 seems jammed packed with new characters and shows to supplement the films! That goes for the Marvel Legends toyline as well which has been brimming with more MCU figures than ever, with two entire waves of 2021 dedicated to covering these Disney+ shows! 2022 has already been confirmed to have at least one Disney+ MCU wave that will include a fantastic looking Hawkeye and Kate, with an epic Infinity Ultron as the build a figure, and I cannot wait to see what other characters from the tv side of things will be joining them! The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not slowing down at all after Endgame, and has in fact had some of their biggest projects in recent years such as Spiderman: No Way Home, and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which looks to be another big hit! The MCU is literally exploding bigger than ever though because aside from the movies, we're now getting big budget, Disney+ series that focus on different characters from across the MCU, new and old! WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye have premiered and they've been a lot of fun so far, with highs and lows, but for the most part I think they have been a great addition to the world and I am interested in a lot of what's coming up! Proving to be the beast of the action figure world Marvel Legends has chugged out another massive year in figures! It seemed as though a new wave was popping up in store shelves every time I turned around, and I couldn't be happier to see a line getting such success! I'm primarily an MCU collector, so for my end of year ranking video for my personal favorites of the year there won't be much outside of the MCU realm of figures, but that isn't to discredit comic book figures or videogame figures. After a bit of a lull between Marvel between with Far From Home to this year, Marvel has come back in full force and swinging wildly. Not just with the amount of MCU related projects being released (which is extensive) but the amount of figures being produced by Hasbro as well! They're working overtime at this point to assure that most of the cast of each movie is covered with a film's release, and so for once coming around to the MCU releases this year a lot of these shows and movies have been pretty well filled out. There's always room for more on the action figure shelf however, and with 2021 stampeding to an end let's look at each of the MCU's outings from phase 4 this year and what characters still need figures most! Continuing my lists of breaking down which characters from each of the MCU movies in each phase I'd love to see Hasbro produce next as an action figure, this is my look at phase 2 of the movies! Despite the movie universe chugging along strongly, Hasbro is still looking back to the past to give us updated, and in most cases brand new figures of characters from past adventures. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier just wrapped up its awesome first season and with the conclusion we got a great assortment of figures that really helped to fill out the roster of the show. We got Bucky, Zemo, both versions of John Walker, and Sam in his amazing Captain America uniform.
