Top 5 most wanted updated Transformers Armada figures vol 2

Image
(Images Source) I am living an absolute dream as a Transformers: Armada fan! I grew up on these characters and designs, I grew up hoping for figures like we're getting nowadays, and Hasbro has spoiled me. Starscream is A+, Hot Shot is probably the weakest of the group but still nice to have, Leader Class Megatron BLOWS AWAY the previous Titans Returns attempt at an update, Armada Optimus in the Commander Class slot won the fan poll for best figure of 2023 which is a deserved title, and holy crap we are getting a freaking Titan Class Tidal Wave which I have dreamt about since high school!! I don't know how to express my joy and excitement aside from saying I'm so ready for even more, and we know we're getting Wheeljack after that suspiciously familiar looking new retool of the Shattered Glass Sideswipe mold (though the door wings of the Back to the Future collab would've been a perfect recreation of Wheeljack's design). So with Armada being one of the universes t

Top 5 next most wanted Mattel Hammond Collection dinosaurs

Image
(Images Source) Just yesterday we got the epic reveals of the Therizinosaurus and the Giganotosaurus which look to be two of the best dinosaurs to be released in the Hammond Collection line by Mattel so far! Mattel has certainly continued to perfect their craft with the Hammond Collection line and it really shows. A while back we got the Ankylosaurus which had been one of my most anticipated figures in the line, and for this revised list of most wanted dinos I am taking off the Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus because I know the bendy wire method is a smart choice but for whatever reason it appeals less to me than all the other prehistoric figures we get. There are beginning to be only a handful of on-screen dinosaurs for Mattel to choose from until we get more obscure cuts like Irritator and Metricanthosaurus,  and this list will be counting down my next five most wanted! 5. Stygimoloch I am a bit surprised that this dino hasn't been included in the smaller price point quite yet, and

Top 5 most wanted Star Wars The Force Unleashed Black Series figures

Image
(Banner Image Source)   (Following Images Source) The Gaming division of Black Series has enjoyed much more a spotlight recently, with lots of iconic designs and characters from the games being represented beyond army builder repaints which had been the norm. The Force Unleashed has been one of the latest games to finally be delved into, with Galen Marek being given a 6 inch action figure that fans of the line have been waiting for. The Force Unleashed games stunned players with a litany of epic Force abilities that truly made you feel like you were playing as the most powerful Force user in the Galaxy, and alongside that were a cool cast of characters with diverse designs that I'd love to see more of in Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series line! Honorable mention: More Starkiller We've finally gotten the iconic Starkiller in the line, but there are SO many more costumes from the games that Hasbro could touch upon to give us further looks for the character. Probably the most e

Top 5 Favorite Junji Ito Stories

Image
About two years ago my brother stumbled across a Japanese horror author named Junji Ito and a story he had created called "Uzumaki." That was just the start of our journey through Junji Ito's horror repertoire, which is extensive, far-reaching, and to this point we've caught up on everything he has put out with his next releases already pre-ordered. His stories are genuinely creepy, with body horror unlike anything I've seen in other media, and art images that still creep into my mind when I'm trying to fall asleep at night. Many of his stories also carry deeper meanings and ideas to think about afterwards, with many being extremely thought provoking, and overall these next five stories I'm going to talk about have been the tales that stuck with me the most! Honorable mention: Deserter What really got me about this story was the ending, the final image of the tale, in which the titular Deserter appears after the truth about his death has come out. The rest

Ranking my excitement for upcoming Poohniverse movies

Image
(Images Source) Move over MCU, there is a new cinematic universe flourishing in theaters and I'm entirely here for it! In 2023, a little movie called "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" was released. Admittedly, it is not very good, at all. But the concept of a serial killer Pooh and friends since the character had entered public domain was an entertaining idea and had a novel to it watching the events of the movie play out. Elevating the fun factor was random ideas like Pooh being able to control bees, grow ten feet tall in one scene, and even drive a car for one of his kills. So when Blood and Honey 2 came out last month I was expecting more of the same being a bad movie, but surrounded by lots of entertaining scenes. What ended up coming out was a genuinely half-way decent movie that was also a ton of fun, which has me even more excited for the future of the "Twisted Childhood Universe" that the creators have pitched for the future! They're moving full ste

Top 5 most wanted updated Transformers the Movie (1986) figures vol 4

Image
(Banner Image Source) As Legacy moves more and more into the alternate universe of the Transformers franchise (I'm here all day for the Armada updates!) it feels as though the fully definitive display of G1 Transformers has been forming up quite nicely. It is to the point that this list is less of a "most wanted" and more of a "what's left" for Hasbro to update from the original 1986 The Transformers film! We've gotten A LOT since the last time I looked into this movie, with all the Dinobots finally immortalized in Leader class glory, Blaster, Perceptor, and Blitzwing checked off for a while now, and even a Coronation version of Starscream being released. But what does that leave for Hasbro to give us from that iconic film? Not much, and these five points will count down my excitement level for each remaining character! (Following Images Source) 5. Quintesson Executioner Something I wasn't expecting from the last few years was how well the Quintesson

Remaining Tamashii Nations Naruto S.H.Figuarts to be updated from their first line

Image
(Images Source) When S.H.Figuarts revived their Naruto line they brought it back in full force! Their figures are better than ever, sporting articulation, accessory count, and overall aesthetic that's borderline perfect for most cases! During the course of the revived line, and especially with the reveal of the next three upcoming figures the line has updated a lot of the designs and characters first put out in the first line of S.H.Figuarts that Tamashii Nations ran for the iconic series. Seen above are the original figures that Tamashii Nations put out for Itachi and Kakashi on the left, compared to their newest releases on the right, with the advancements clearly noticeable in these cases. Shippuden versions of Naruto and Sasuke have been reinvigorated by the new line, as well as a brand new Kakashi, and most recently we've gotten reveals for a new Minato, new Itachi, and new Sage Mode Naruto! Tamashii has nearly updated all of the characters and designs from their first l
