World of Nintendo's line has taken an unfortunate turn away from encompassing all of Nintendo to essentially just being a bunch of Mario characters, with a grand shift towards different variations of Mario himself. While I'm still sad we won't be getting any of Nintendo characters int he foreseeable future, I'm trying to make the best of the situation and am thinking about which Mario renditions I would like to see in the line. It feels like SDCC just happened but we're already only a couple weeks away from NYCC! I rank it as one of the three big toy convetnions of the year where we get treated to new reveals from several of the big companies that lay out where the next few months are going to lead us. As always, my eyes are on a few different toy providers to see what they're offering for the holiday season and beyond, and here I will go over what I'm expecting from each line I collect. It seems as though Jakks Pacific's World of Nintendo line has returned in full force with new waves arriving regularly and a whole new line look being added to the packaging. Things are feeling fresh again and the character selection has been upped to very wise choices even if they are all skewing towards the Mario franchise. Naturally, with the line being back and pumping out figures without huge waits between waves it has made me think about what figures I want to see produced. Due to the line's overt focus on the Mario franchise, those are the characters I'll stick to for this list, so here are my most wanted Mario franchise characters for the World of Nintendo line. After a promising start, Jakks Pacific's 4 inch World of Nintendo line has quickly fallen into something that is more of an agitation than a full on toy line. Initially, it appeared that games of all kinds would be represented, though with Mario being a constant center, and by now the line has become almost entirely Mario based with no change in sight. Despite all this, I am still a fan of the line and the figures that it produces, and as always I have a few on my wishlist that I hope are fulfilled at some point. 1. Kiddie Kong/Dixie Kong To this day, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble remains the only Donkey Kong video game that I have truly and fully played aside from Donkey Konga 2.
