The next toyline I will be looking at for my 2025 retrospective will be the Micro Galaxy Squadron line from Jazwares representing a relatively in-scale line of vehicles from the Star Wars universe. In some ways I feel like this line has slowed since the original booming start of the line; however, I more chalk that up to the line settling in as a constant shelf presence. I will be looking forward to see how the line continues to evolve in 2026, but for now these are my top five favorite vehicles we got in 2025! (Images Source) 5. Tie Striker Rogue One has been steadily getting some love from the line and that definitely escalated this year with the release of the Tie Striker (and another vehicle I'll discuss down the list). (Banner Images Source)   (Following Images Source) There are sides of the Star Wars franchise which sees more releases than others when it comes to what Hasbro's Black Series line puts out, and with the heavy focus on the Disney+ shows as of late we have seen less output from the films themselves; however, classic designs are still readily being pumped into the line and from each film in the franchise I'm still getting a lot of figures I want, such as Bodhi Rook from Rogue One, Celebration Luke and Ewoks from the original trilogy, and Dooku, Super Battle Droid, and Droidekas from the prequel trilogy! (Image 1 Source)   (Image 2 Source) The Star Wars Black Series line from Hasbro seems to go through highs and lows of releases, but it seems like we're hitting another of those high periods and it seems high time as well that I bust out another countdown list of my most wanted figures in the line! Since I last took a look at the collection Hasbro has delivered on a lot of the characters I wanted most in the line with Saw Gerrera, Droidekas and Super Battle Droids coming soon, lots of Jedi, the Dark Trooper, Bad Batch Echo, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka, and more! We've gotten a few more shows with Andor, Mandalorian season 3, and the currently running Ahsoka, as well as all the past movies that built up my childhood, so with the collection growing as much as it had recently this is my newest rendition of my top 10 most wanted Black Series Star Wars action figures! (Image Source) In interviews, Jazwares Designers have made it clear that they love the aesthetic of the Tie Fighters in Star Wars and plan to include a lot of them in the Micro Galaxy Squadron line! I'm all for this, and the Tie Fighters are no doubt one of the most iconic vehicles in the Star Wars universe and there are so many fantastic variants out there for this line to encompass! We've only gotten a handful of the typical ones so far, a standard Tie, battle damaged variant, Vader's Tie, Sabine's custom Tie, and newly the First Order version (which isn't very different); however, there are a galaxy of Tie Fighter designs to be introduced into this awesome line, and these are the top 5 I want to see!  Honorable mention: Tie Silencer and Whisper (Image 1 Source)   (Image 2 Source) Just below my top five is Kylo Ren's Tie fighters from the sequel trilogy. The Star Wars Black Series line from Hasbro has been pushing along, with last year certainly finding itself dominated by Mandalorian, Obi Wan Kenobi, Clone Wars, and Bad Batch content in particular. I'm not complaining, as there were plenty of great figures throughout the year, and as usual, these five I'm about to list off are my personal favorites of 2022! Honorable Mention: Clone Wars Mace Windu (Image Source) Largely a re-use of the pre-existing Mace Windu figure, but it works. Another Jedi to add to the shelf will never be a bad thing, and the addition of the robe and Clone Wars armor give Mace an awesome new look to match the Tartakovsky cartoon. The soft goods work well, and it is nice and easy to get him into plenty of dynamic poses. My only wish is that he would've included a splayed Force-using hand; however, it isn't in The Black Series' style to include alternate hands anyways.  5. Consistently mature and outstanding story telling combined with amazing visuals and a whole cast of well fleshed out characters that make me honestly look at other tv shows I've been watching and wondering why they aren't as good! That goes for some recent Star Wars shows as well. Unfortunately, compared to the likes of Mandalorian and the recent Obi Wan Kenobi the offerings for this series have been slim so far but I'm hoping that picks up in the future and we can get some of the main cast members who have been excluded so far.
