Top 10 favorite movies of 2022

Image
With 2022 at a wrap and 2023 already somehow finishing its first month, I want to take a look back at the top 10 films of last year that really stuck with me! It's to be kept in mind that I have not seen every movie that came out and there are still plenty that I'm still working my way towards seeing such as Top Gun: Maverick and Black Phone; however, I managed to see a lot as the year went on, and it took me a while to whittle away the list to just ten titles. Now this is all just my own personal ranking of enjoyment and what films I found to be the most entertaining and enjoyable, I'm not saying that any film not on this list is bad, or isn't one of the best movies of last year, but just in my own silly personal ranking these are the top 10 movies of 2022 that I have seen so far! 10. Prey (Image Source) Prey is definitely one of the best Predator movies we have gotten in a long time. It takes the timeframe of the film and sends us back to the time of Native Americans,

Top 10 favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2022

Image
Putting out more figures than both of the previous two years combined, Mcfarlane has concluded their junior year with the DC comics license, and I am purely loving the number of figures we're getting, the diversity in character selections, and the consistently great unique molds that the line puts out! There were so many impressive figures this year that I could not restrict my ranking to just 5 spots, so this will be my top 10 favorite figures from Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line of 2022! And with a line up like this I can only imagine what 2023 will bring us! Honorable Mentions: Black Lanterns and Gorilla Grodd (Page Punchers) (Image 1 Source)   (Image 2 Source) Starting off the list are a couple of honorable mentions. The Blackest Night wave of figures is by far one of my favorite set of figures to come from Mcfarlane at this point; however, I did not want to try and fit them all into the 10-slot list. The zombified Black Lantern sculpts are fantastic, and posing Batman, Supe

Top 5 favorite DC Comics publications of 2022

2022 was a bit of the mixed bag when it came to the comic publications from DC Comics. There were some really great comics that came out, plenty of beautiful artwork, great character developments, and introductions of new storylines, characters, and ideas that made me excited to pick up new comics each week! While there were also a fair share of disappointments and comics that fell flat, I'll be focusing solely on those DC comics from last year that really fulfilled why I'm a huge fan of comic books! With dozens of comic series to choose from, here is my narrowed down list of my personal top 5 DC Comics of 2022! Honorable mention: Danger Street (Image Source) With only one issue released in December of 2022, Danger Street already seemed poised to be one of the best comic series I've read in a long time. Not just the concept, but the history behind it had me very excited to see how it would play out, and I even found and read the original DC's First Issue Specials comic

Top 5 favorite Star Wars the Black Series figures of 2022

Image
The Star Wars Black Series line from Hasbro has been pushing along, with last year certainly finding itself dominated by Mandalorian, Obi Wan Kenobi, Clone Wars, and Bad Batch content in particular. I'm not complaining, as there were plenty of great figures throughout the year, and as usual, these five I'm about to list off are my personal favorites of 2022! Honorable Mention: Clone Wars Mace Windu (Image Source) Largely a re-use of the pre-existing Mace Windu figure, but it works. Another Jedi to add to the shelf will never be a bad thing, and the addition of the robe and Clone Wars armor give Mace an awesome new look to match the Tartakovsky cartoon. The soft goods work well, and it is nice and easy to get him into plenty of dynamic poses. My only wish is that he would've included a splayed Force-using hand; however, it isn't in The Black Series' style to include alternate hands anyways.  5. Ben Kenobi (Tibidon Station) (Image Source) While I'm waiting for the

Top 5 things I expect to see in Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line in 2023

Taking a break from our look back at 2022, I want to focus on 2023 and what I think we could likely see from Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line! It has been exponentially growing through the years, with the character selection absolutely unpredictable at times (Who would've expected that Frankenstein figure?) and the future seemingly open for any character and design to be introduced to the line. There's a few characters and designs I'm expecting to see this year, and here is my ranking of those 5 ideas! Honorable Mention 1: Aquaman 2 and The Flash movie figures (Image 1 Source)   (Image Source) It is pretty much a given that we are going to get figures based on the upcoming films so I won't even include these as part of the main five I will be discussing below. At this point it is standard that any new movie release gets figures to accompany it, and while Shazam! 2's figure representation is much smaller than I was expecting, I have no doubts we'll get plenty o

Top 5 favorite Hasbro Transformers figures of 2022

Image
2022 was a big year for Hasbro's Transformers line! Studio Series had several welcome additions to the growing live action movie line, and the multiversal theme that began with Beast Wars' introduction in the Kingdom line to mainline Generations exploded with Legacy which brought together nearly every corner of the Transformers franchise from G1 to Armada to Prime and just about everything in between! 2023 looks to be continuing on that promise of appealing to fans of every corner of the brand, not to mention a new live action film hitting soon! With 2022 in the rearview, these are the top 5 Transformers figures that I was most happy with. 5. Brawn (Bumblebee movie) (Image Source) 2022 really was a year where Studio Series let loose and gave us all those designs from the Bumblebee movie that fans had been asking for since they first saw the trailers for the film revealing the Cybertron designs! My personal favorite out of this bunch is Brawn, and how he perfectly manages to rep
