2025 has come to a close for Mcfarlane's DC line, and it has been a bittersweet year. On one hand they were delivering constantly great action figures and an amazingly diverse range of character selections (who would've thought we would be getting Darkstars and  Malcolm Merlyn has non-Platinum main line releases?) but on the other hand we were delivered the news that Mattel will be taking back the license ownership. We will be getting figure through 2026 by Mcfarlane but after that the future is unclear of Mcfarlane's line will end in its entirety as Mattel takes over. Regardless of what the future brings, McFarlane's DC comics line of figures is still one of my main collecting focuses, and with a plentiful supply of amazing figures being released in 2025 this is my retrospective of my top ten favorite Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures of 2025!  (Images Source) 10. (Banner Image Source)   (Following Images Source) I recently finished reading through the 2003 Teen Titans comic series by DC Comics and it was undoubtedly one of the funnest comics I've read from this era of DC, and quite possibly the best iteration of the Teen Titans I've read as well. Unfortunately we don't have too many figures from this rendition of the team quite yet aside from the recent Conner Kent figure as well as the proportionally odd red suit Tim Drake. With so many fantastic members of the team and villains throughout this run I hope to see some of these upcoming slots in the DC Multiverse line by Mcfarlane in the coming year.  5. Exceptionally articulation and paint, along with a plethora of accessories, and for a price point I stomach better nowadays since I've began collecting higher price point lines like S.H.Figuarts. Fondjoy's DC Comics line of movie action figures so far seen to be fantastic, with a few looking wonky here and there (specifically headsculpts for Henry Cavill and Heath Ledger) but their newest figures look perfect and I can't wait for the few that I've ordered so far to come in! (Image 1 Source)   (Image 2 Source) The MegaFig deluxe assortments of Mcfarlane DC Multiverse figures has given us some great selections of characters ranging from King Shark to a multitude of Batman villains such as Bane, Killer Croc, and Clayface, not to mention iconic villains such as Anti-Monitor and Doomsday! Even still, there is a massive world of DC history and media and never the end when it comes to what could come next in the toyline! 1. Rookie robot (Image Source) The first entry on my list would pair extremely well with a recent figure we got in the line, that being the Jim Gordon depiction of Batman from late in the New 52 era. I personally really enjoyed this very different era for Batman, seeing Jim become more of a military esque version of the Dark Knight that worked more closely with the GCPD, including the deployment of a Batman robot called "The Rookie" that accompanied him during his time under the cowl. (Image Source) When Mcfarlane first starting revealing DC vs Vampires exclusive figures for Walmart I was initially on the fence. I was thinking to myself that I would've preferred a classic Red Rain Vampire Batman over one inspired by a cover art for a comic where Batman is never actually a vampire. Then we got Vampire Joker, also inspired by cover art, followed by an awesome looking Vampire Superman and Vampire Hal Jordan, and I'm fully on board with this subset at this point. The headsculpts for each are fantastic, and when all put together it is a epic looking set of DC vampires! While I lost interest in the series itself after the time skip at issue 7, the cover arts continued to depict creepy looking vampire versions of DC's heroes and villains, and these are my top most wanted pics for the next DC vs Vampires Mcfarlane figures! (Image Source) James Gunn's DCU series is branching out into several forms of media, and while I've already gone over the movies in his initial line up that are coming out, I'm going to now talk about the five television shows hitting in the next several years. There are some projects here that I'm really looking forward to, and some that I am not as excited about, but it all promises to introduce plenty of exciting characters from the comics and widen out the breadth of this new DC series! 5. Waller (Image Source) At the bottom of the list is the project I'm overall least excited about from all 10 projects, and that would be the Amanda Waller led tv show. I'm sure that given the right direction, story, and production it can come out great, I'm just not as interested in a tv show all about Amanda Waller as I am other prospects of the DC universe. The Injustice game universe is one of the most compelling Elseworld stories in DC's comic line and while we're still waiting for a third game in the series Mcfarlane has been steadily giving us characters from this bleak universe! We got Flash and Grodd as our first two figures off the roster, followed by a few more including Reverse Flash who is one of my favorite Speedster designs, and finally an Injustice Batman in the most recent Page Punchers line up. There's still plenty of characters and designs to be tapped into though, with Supergirl seeming like the next one in line with her appearance on the cover of the Page Punchers comic and Mcfarlane typically making everyone on the covers.
