Top 5 next most wanted Mattel Hammond Collection dinosaurs

Just yesterday we got the epic reveals of the Therizinosaurus and the Giganotosaurus which look to be two of the best dinosaurs to be released in the Hammond Collection line by Mattel so far! Mattel has certainly continued to perfect their craft with the Hammond Collection line and it really shows. A while back we got the Ankylosaurus which had been one of my most anticipated figures in the line, and for this revised list of most wanted dinos I am taking off the Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus because I know the bendy wire method is a smart choice but for whatever reason it appeals less to me than all the other prehistoric figures we get. There are beginning to be only a handful of on-screen dinosaurs for Mattel to choose from until we get more obscure cuts like Irritator and Metricanthosaurus,  and this list will be counting down my next five most wanted!

5. Stygimoloch
I am a bit surprised that this dino hasn't been included in the smaller price point quite yet, and I am looking forward to when it does. The larger assortment of spikes on its as compared to the Pachycephalosaurus sure make for quite a sight, and the Fallen Kingdom representation in the line overall has been a bit lacking.

4. Allosaurus
While on the topic of representation in the Jurassic films, it is downright criminal that the Allosaurus has not had any big moments throughout the whole film franchise! The butcher of the Jurassic era, the Allosaurus is known as one of the fiercest predators from the prehistoric state, and its presence in the Battle at Big Rock short film was a perfect display of its terror! One piece of articulation that must be nailed is the jaw articulation, and the Allosaurus' ability to open mighty wide.

3. Pyroraptor
We may be on track to get this dinosaur already in the Hammond Collection, as the Beyond the Gates video for the Giganotosaurus gave us a look at the box for Dominion's flagship dinosaur and on the back it looks like the Pyroraptor is amongst the cross-sells. This could mean nothing, Micro Galaxy Squadron for one has shuffled around releases numerous times, and the first wave of Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse figures had cross-sells for a Birds of Prey Harley Quinn that didn't come out until much later. Hopefully the sneaky peak at the box is a true indication of what's to come, because the Pyroraptor was one of my favorites from Dominion and the feathered design would be a brand new textured sculpt for the line!

2. Stegosaurus
As Mr. DNA tells us above, Stegosaurus did not have the mightiest of brains, and I'm beginning to think that neither does Mattel. The Stegosaurus is one of the most iconic prehistoric creatures out there, instantly recognizable to kids everywhere, as well as the common adult, and thus far in the line's multi-year run we have only seen the Stegosaurus released as a juvenile.

1. Spinosaurus
Standing proud on the cover of the overseas release of the Jurassic Park 3 novel, the Spinosaurus has undergone a lot of changes since the release of the third film in regards to scientists' understanding of what this creature looked like. Regardless of all that, the design for the Spinosaurus in the third film is plain awesome and can be chalked up to mixing of species to resurrect it. Since seeing that film, the Spinosaurus has been my favorite prehistoric creature of all time with its sail-back and elongated snout, and seeing the line continue on without the Spinosaurus so far being released breaks my heart.
