Most unexpected Transformers Studio Series figures

Image
Looking back on the year, Hasbro's Studio Series have come very far from its inception at the start of 2018. Within a year we have seen enough of the future of the line to know that this is the ultimate movie line for the Transformers franchise, with 2019 appearing to completely wipe the floor with 2018's great showing. There have been many things I am honestly surprised we are getting, some things that I wanted and didn't think would happen, and some things that I wonder why they are happening. While I will sing the praises of this line till the day it ends, there are figures in this line that deserve those praises, and others that don't. So with 2018 wrapping up, and a lot of 2019 already revealed to us, let's look at the most unexpected and surprising figures so far in the Transformers Studio Series line. Most wanted Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Black Series figures

Hasbro's line of six inch scale Star Wars action figures sure seems to have kicked it into high gear lately with the clear upgrades in quality as well as seemingly more figures being released this year than in past years. It looks like this step up will continue into next year, which already looks to have  a big focus on the prequel era and rightly so as next year will be the 20th anniversary of The Phantom Menace! Hasbro has already said that they're planning on celebrating this specifically by releasing more prequel characters, and I hope that they don't stop with the bunch they've already revealed. There are a ton of prequel characters I'm hoping to see in the line down the road, and so I will be doing three posts all looking at the characters I want from each film in the trilogy! First off, with figures in no particular order, will be the Phantom Menace, the movie being celebrated! (Image Source) Padme in general The reveal of the Attack of the Clones r

Top 10 most likely Mega Construx Pokemon Sets

Image
It seems like since SDCC during the summer there has been a drought when it comes to Mega Construx revealing new product. It has left me thinking what sets from their Pokemon line I would like to see next, and also what I think is most likely to be made next. There's upwards of eight generations of pocket monsters, a new game hitting stores, and hundreds of popular creatures that still must be made! This will be the top 10 Pokemon sets I think are most likely to be made. (Image Source) 10. Other region's starter Pokemon This is a beat of a cheat, but at the same time that is why I put it at the bottom of the list. We know starter Pokemon are multi-packs that have been released since the start of the line. We got the Kanto, Johto, and Alolan Pokemon like this and we will surely get the other starters as well. We still need Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, and Sinnoh, so it is just a waiting game as we sit back and wait for the official announcement of which of these groups ar

Supergirl S04 EP09 spoiler review (crossover episode)

(Guess what image I'm using for my desktop background?) The annual crossovers have always been fun, but they have never left me as pumped as I was throughout this year right up to the third and final episode of the "Elseworlds" crossover. (Image Source) Just like how the previous episode began with Barry in place of Oliver during the opening of the show, this episode gave us a new kind of opening with John Deegan explaining how he was a Arkham doctor until a strange being gave him a book to rewrite destiny, and now he is Superman. That's right, the black suited Superman was John Deegan who made himself the city's hero. In effect, he made Barry and Oliver the villains, with the episode picking up with the three of them squaring off on the rooftop. Oliver managed to use Deegan's desire to be the hero against him though as he sent a crane falling towards a group of innocent bystanders, forcing Deegan to go save the day while Barry and Oliver escaped. I lo

Arrow S07 EP09 spoiler review (crossover episode)

(I seriously thought I would be using the photo of Barry, Oliver, Kara, and 80s Flash standing against Monitor, but woah, I cannot get over Batwoman) We are now officially two thirds of through the way of this year's crossover and things only got way more intense and awesome, with this episode in particular topping yesterday's episode at least for me. There were so many easter eggs and character introductions, along with a major tease at the end for what the third episode will be, and things are shaping up for an awesome end! (Image Source) Being an Arrow episode, there were a lot of Arrow related characters and storylines that showed up here that weren't in the Flash episode before this, as well as several Flash characters no longer being around like Ralph and Iris. I haven't watched Arrow but I've kept up with it a little bit, and I always enjoying seeing all the characters of this universe interacting with one another in fun ways so while not everything t

The Flash S05 EP09 spoiler review (crossover episode)

(This body swapping has to be one of the best ideas the CW team has ever had) This year's crossover started off with a really fun episode and a whole lot of fun for what I feel like will be the best crossover so far. We got a lot of new information and plot threads that will continue through three episodes, with Barry and Oliver swapping lifes, Superman taking part in the episode, and the arrival of one of my favorite DC villains with Amazo. Without time to waste, here is my review of the ninth episode of Flash's season 5. And yes, I do realize that I'm writing this after the second episode of the crossover has already aired so I'm a bit behind. I won't be as speculative in this review, and will focus solely on my thoughts of what happened. (Image Source) Oh boy, I'm so happy with how this crossover started off! We got the same scene of Earth-90 being destroyed as we did at the end of the last episode of the Flash, but it is still cool to see John Wesle

Most wanted upcoming Star Wars: The Black Series figures

Image
I've been talking a lot recently about all of the potential Star Wars Black Series I want to see in the future, ranging from the probable, to the not so probable. I've covered spinoffs, aliens, droids, characters in general, and so I decided to turn my attention from the future for a moment and focus on the present. We've had a ton of announced figures coming in 2019, and many of them come directly from my most wanted lists. My excitement is definitely running high for all of the figures on this list, and there some are some coming out that aren't included here to keep the list from running too long. So before I go back to thinking about what characters I want to see in the line, let's look at the figures I want who are already forthcoming next year! Note: I would also like to mention that Rio Durant and Dengar would also be on this list if I hadn't picked them up a week or two ago off of Hasbro's website, so I'm all caught up on 2018 figures. The Flash S05 EP08 spoiler review (100th episode)

(Cicada may be this season's big bad, but he took a backseat to the past in this episode) I enjoy the Flash whenever I watch it, but this episode I really enjoyed. I had so much fun with it, and felt so much nostalgia seeing things from all five seasons. While I don't know if nostalgia is the right word, since the show has only been on for five seasons, I felt happy bursts of memory newly seeing old things. The 100th episode truly felt like a celebration of the five years it has been on the show, and appropriately, there is a lot to talk about. (Image Source) I am so glad the show did not come up with some lazy, contrived reason for Flash and XS to travel back to various points of the past. The reasons they were going back to each moment made sense, and for me that was one of the most important parts of this episode. They knew that they could not directly take on Cicada without crippling his use of the dagger, and so they came up with the idea to dampen it; however, it
