Top 5 Most Wanted Transformers: The Card Game expansions

5. Unicron
This is one that I imagine being more of a gimmick than a full on character one would use. Just like the upcoming Metroplex, I expect Unicron would be a massive card sent out in his own expansion box separate from the regular booster packs, and in my idea he would play as a surface for the game to take place on. Every few turns he would "ingest" all of the characters currently on the board and he would have to be hurt a certain amount within a certain number of turns or else the characters are lost, and so the two players could both focus on trying to get their characters back, ignore it and let their characters get scrapped, or while one player tries to get their characters back the other could target the other player whilst they're distracted. While I'm almost sure my idea won't be the way it is implemented, Unicron is still a massive part of Transformers history and would make for a fun addition to the game however he is added.

4. Generation 1 wave 2
The first wave of cards focused on Generation 1 and that is where I'm expecting wave 2 to stay, especially because there's so many more characters for them to do! Ramjet is in wave one but not Dirge and Thrust! Where's characters like Reflector, Seaspray, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Ratchet, Brawn, and Cliffjumper? And while Ironhide and Cliffjumber appear in the Autobot starter set and an SDCC exclusive release, respectively, neither are in the actual wave 1! And while Kup and Arcee makes an appearance in the game, we're missing the rest of the season 3 cast like Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, Cyclonus, and more! There is still a rich pool of characters from G1 for the card game to touch upon, and I'm sure most of the ones I listed above will slip into the game when wave 2 does release!

3. Generation 1 Combiners and triple changers
Like the previous entry this involved G1 characters; however, these are ones that I think new gaming mechanics would have to be implemented. The triple changers like Blitzwing and Springer would be easier to do I think, if they want to give them two cards each for each of their alt modes, but the combiners would be a different story, surely. Combining mechanics would have to be implemented into the game along with the star system being reworked for these groups if the game would necessitate you to have all the characters in order to bring out their combined form. I'm not even going to try and figure out how the combiner teams would be added into the game, though the easiest way would be to make their individual characters regular cards and their combined form singular playable cards like Metroplex, but I'm hoping for more competitive game rules involving combiner team. Constructicons, Stunticons, Protectobots, I'm hoping to see all the combiners get into this game eventually.

2. Transformers Armada
Now we're getting into the two Transformers media sources that I really want to see as expansions to the card game. Transformers Armada was the first Transformers material I was ever introduced to and I watched it growing up, then later watched the show in its entirety when I hit high school and I still love it, warts and all. While its later sequels, Energon and Cybertron, didn't appeal to me as much, I really enjoyed Armada's takes on the characters and the addition of the Mini-cons to the story. Also, Starscream arc is one of the most touching storylines I've seen in this franchise, with several other characters also displaying surprising depth such as Thrust and Megatron. Armada also had a finite number of characters so doing them all would be no problem, and to further spoil us they could make some of the battle cards the Mini-cons themselves and the weapons like the Star Saber and Requiem Blaster! Armada was littered with awesome characters like those mentioned before, Sideways, Tidal Wave, Smokescreen, Hot Shot, Red Alert, and numerous others. Seeing one of the card game expansions delve into this show would be a dream come true for me.

1. Live action movies
Say what you will, I also agree that for the most part these movies aren't the best, especially four and five. For this entry though I'm focusing solely on the first three movies in the franchise which I actually enjoy watching and find entertainment in, despite many parts of the films being lackluster or disappointing. However; these are the films that have been around as I've gotten older and the robots themselves I always thought were cool, looked awesome, and were translated perfectly into the live action format. Watching them transform never gets old, and while many-most-of the Transformers don't get characterization they still have stellar designs and always stand out while on screen. With the level of detail each robot holds, the cards could look fantastic, and there's more than enough live action robots to fill out a few waves of Transformers expansions. High on my want list from this franchise is Bonecrusher, Blackout, the Constructicons, Starscream, Sideswipe, and Devcon just to name a few. Even if they do only a single wave I'd love to get some live action Transformers cards in the card game.
