Most wanted Ant-Man 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Marvel Legends
So far this year Marvel has given us the third film in two trilogies, both with varying degrees of success. Ant-Man 3 fell a bit flat, though Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is one of my favorite movies to come out this year! In terms of the Marvel Legends figure representations the Guardians have been the ones to really win out so far between the two with an entire wave and a deluxe figure to their name, while Ant-Man and the Wasp only got part of a Build-A-Figure wave. Both films don't have too many more figures needed to round out the primary casts and characters, and so this'll be my breakdown of my top wanted action figures from Hasbro for these two 2023 films.
5. Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne
Throughout the years there have been a couple different designs for these two that could be pulled from, and their adventurous outfits in this movie are now another option to bring one of the MCU's first canonical superhero couples to action figure form!4. Modok
I'm still not exactly sure about how I feel MODOFK was accomplished in the MCU, but one thing for sure is that he would make one heck of an action figure. We've already seen an updated comic book MODOK released recently and how well that turned out, so the MCU version should be just as good or even better given the potential for extra accessories like his battle mask and axe weapons!
3. Lylla, Floor, Teefs
Guardians of the Galaxy is really where my big wants for the toyline come into play, and starting it off will be some of the most tragic characters to ever hit the MCU. I welled up multiple times throughout these flashbacks, especially on a second viewing of the movie knowing their eventual fate. Lylla, Floor, and Teefs could be included all together in one big pack even with another younger version of Rocket to go along with them.2. Gamora
As one of the primary characters in the film and one who has appeared throughout the entire Guardians franchise I'm surprised that Gamora did not receive a figure in some capacity for her appearance in this movie wearing her Ravager gear. She could be an easy figure with which to include a Blurp since Warlock himself did not come with his pet1. High Evolutionary
The figure I want most of all though from these two films would certainly be the High Evolutionary, the primary antagonist of the Guardians' third film and definitely one of the best villains that the MCU has put out in a while. I absolutely loved to hate him, and his performance was an energized one as well with how aggressive he was and his erratic body movements. To have so many figures from the movie and not the main villain has always been an unfortunate track record for Marvel Legends, though it took a while for us to also get Ronan and Ego so hopefully one day we'll get the High Evolutionary.
