Top 5 wanted S.H.Figuarts One Piece Fish-Man Island saga figures
The Marineford arc of One Piece was always going to be a difficult storyline to follow up on, with the added pressure of also following up a dramatic time skip for the Straw Hats, and for the most part I think the Fish-Man island saga did a good job reintroducing us to the Strawhats and giving us a dramatic story as they travelled towards the New World. While Tamashii Nations has a strong pre-time skip focus at the moment, there have still been a decent amount of post-time skip content in the S.H.Figuarts line between Wano and Egghead, and Fish-Man would be another great story arc from this era to delve into for figures, especially as a story arc to follow up on after their current Marineford focus. A lot of the characters from this story are HUGE and feasibly likely to never be seen in the line, unfortunately enough for Shirahoshi and King Neptune, but there were still plenty of characters that are financially feasible in size, and these are the five I want to see most!
5. Caribou
We don't always see a lot of up front, actual death in the series, so seeing Caribou's entire crew drown on the way to Fish-Man Island was a bit shocking! Caribou himself wasn't the most enthralling character, but he remained as a background nuisance throughout the saga, and his wacky design lends itself well to a unique action figure especially if his devil fruit abilities are taking into account. Extra points too if they included a barrel or a Caribou piece to fit into the upcoming Straw Hat Banquet Set barrel.4. Post-Time skip Straw Hats
While we do have a lot of Straw Hat crews started in the line that still need to be finished (Only Robin, Franky, and Brook to go until we finish pre-time skip and our first full team look in the line!), the post-time skip version of the Straw Hats are wholly iconic for being the base looks for the second half of the entire anime. With Wano versions of Zoro, Luffy, and Sanji out we have figures that could be easily repainted to achieve these looks (though Zoro would need some QC aid), and the rest of the crew would be easy hits amongst collectors, especially as many of them have only received one or zero figures so far!3. Hody Jones
I think that Hody was a great pure evil, prejudiced villain of the Fish-Man Island saga that perfectly conveyed the animosity between humans and fish-men. Design-wise though I just could not get into him; I thought he improved when he went into his steroid induced super form pictured above, but something about his design just doesn't attract me like other villains in the series who I've been clamoring to get figures for. I think it would still be awesome to get Hody in the line (namely the form pictured above), but compared to other fish-men he is not a priority.2. Vander Decken
One of the hands down best moments of the arc for me was when Vander threw the Arc Noah at Shirahoshi resulting in a cataclysmic event for the island! His design is also completely outrageous and as an action figure he would easily become one of the most interesting and unique figures in the entirety of the line thus far!1. Fisher Tiger
While only present during flashbacks, Fisher Tiger without a doubt became one of the most enthralling and stand out characters of the Fish-Man island saga! His story was bursting with emotion and lore behind the human/fish-man dynamic, as well as connection to existing characters like Arlong and Jimbei, not to mention an epic looking design with his pinkish body and frame. While his presence solely in flashbacks and not the main story may hamper the likelihood of his release of a figure, I'd be lining up day one to preorder him.
