Top 5 most wanted Transformers Red series Prime figures
Hasbro's new line of non transforming Transformers figures called the Red series hasn't come out yet but I'm excited about the line for one simple reason aside from that the figures all look really great so far: other universes will be included. So much of the mainstream Transformers lines right now (aside from Studio Series) is all G1 based with hardly any other Transformers series getting figures, but with the reveal of the Red series there was a point made already that despite all the revealed figures being from G1, other franchises from the Transformers universe would be included as well! That makes me excited for the potential figures to come from the line, and to not just expect another G1 line on the shelves! Prime was one of the shows mentioned specifically by Hasbro, so here are the top 5 Transformers Prime characters I hope to see in the Red series.

5. Arcee
This was I believe the first time Arcee was added to the main cast of a show since her role in the original G1 television show, but she had plenty of big roles throughout history such as in Animated and nearly being one of the main five Autobots in the first live action movie; however, Prime was her largest exposure yet in terms of importance to the cast. She was a great presence throughout the show's run and her immediate storyline regarding the loss of her partner Cliffjumper was a good way to not just start the show off on a grim note but to also make it mean something personal to the Autobots. With her smaller size, and Red series lack of comment so far about scale, I'm not sure if she would have to be a pack in with another bot, include a ton of accessories, or she will just be the same size as all the others which wouldn't be the greatest for displays.

4. Megatron
Continuing on the long history of grandiose, menacing, bloodthirsty Megatron from series past was Prime's intense take on the character. Megatron was a massive foe for the Autobots with a spiked, burly design that blended the best parts of the live action film design and original G1 design. Being Megatron himself, I'm sure this character from Prime is more likely than most the others to be made and I would welcome it, especially with the huge fusion cannon he wields on his arm.

3. Starscream
After several years of more intimidating, larger designs for Starscream from Armada, Animated, and the live action films, Prime delved heavily into a reclusive, less physical version of the character designed with a more slender form. This new contrast between his meeker physical prowess and devotion to overthrowing Megatron who was a hulking monster was a neat concept and the character himself proved cunning and endlessly entertaining over the years the series ran for.

2. Bulkhead
Following his introduction into popular media through the Animated television show, Bulkhead returned as a primary member of the cast in the Prime television show with a personality that still heavily mirrored his Animated character. Large but gentle, except when it came to fighting, Bulkhead provided a lot of the comedy for the series while also becoming best friends with one of the human cast members, and carrying out a rivalry with Decepticon Breakdown. Later his past connection to the Wrecker team was explored, further providing interest into this version of the character and with his larger size I'd be interested in seeing if the Red series is planning on doing deluxe sized figures.

1. Soundwave
Coming out of Prime, I had no doubt that Soundwave was my favorite character from the show. I absolutely loved the role that he played in the story and the way they characterized him, by depicting him as a voiceless, faceless soldier of Megatron who handled all of the technical aspects of the Decepticon's ship. He was no stranger to battle though, as he managed to quickly defeat Airachnid on his own! I cannot say enough about his design either! The slender figure with flat, elongated arms and a simple visor as his entire face is one of the best character redesigns since G1 in my opinion. It is a design I'd really like a new, highly articulated figure for.
