Top 5 most wanted updated Transformers Prime figures vol 2


With Transformers Legacy's toyline this year we are getting figures based on a lot of different shows and media all across the Transformers franchise! Of course there are still lots of G1 figures, but we're also getting more Beast Wars, Cybertron, some G2, along with Prime characters! The twist for the Prime figures in particular though are that they've been G1-ified. While I would have preferred fully faithful new figures based on the Prime designs, I do recognize that a lot of those original Prime figures were near perfect and this is a neat idea they're going with for now. So with Arcee, Bulkhead, and Knockout all introduced into the Legacy line so far and Prime characters seemingly being a mainstay for the concept, here are my next top 5 most wanted updated Prime characters!




5. Skyquake and Dreadwing

The traditional G1 Seeker designs have gotten a heaping heck of a lot of love from the War for Cybertron line, and the Studio Series is even getting into the Seeker game with their Bumblebee movie designs! While I love the Seekers, it's nice to get plane Transformers who aren't the same overall design and especially when they'd be bigger, beefier figures! While Skyquake's time in the show was short lived, Dreadwing played a major role throughout later episodes of the series and seeing them reintroduced to the toyline would be awesome!



4. Bumblebee




This is one that I'm especially seeing how it turns out when taking into account the line's current trend of taking the Prime designs and putting a G1 spin on them! This is a Bumblebee whose design is heavily influenced from the live action movies, so it'd be seeing a blend of G1 with the live action inspired Prime design, and I'm interested to see how it differs from the Bumblebee movie design given that that is also a blend of the live action aesthetic and G1!






3. Optimus Prime




We've got two fifths of the main group already, and Optimus Prime is a logical and obvious choice to come next! Optimus figures sell very well, so that already gives this guy a head up against the rest of the competition in the line. Just like Bumblebee, this is a design that takes a lot of cues from the live action films and brings a G1-inspired design to a much more streamlined look!






2. Starscream





This is one that I think definitely is near perfect from what we've gotten before, and I'm not quire sure what they could do to improve upon that previous figure. This Starscream is one who is especially lanky compared to previous designs of the character which is a cool look for the conniving, scheming character who embodies one of the best characterizations of this iconic Decepticon. 









1. Soundwave



My outright favorite character from the show, and that goes for design as well, goes to Soundwave. I absolutely fell in love with this interpretation of the character and I have been hoping for an updated figure with better articulation for a long time! This is one that I actually hope that the redesign of Legacy doesn't take too much effect, because this Soundwave looks perfect with his elongated, flat arms and video screen face!

Top 5 most wanted Jakks Pacific Sonic Badniks vol 2

(Images Source) We have been getting more and more robotic Badniks in Jakks Pacific's line of Sonic figures which is very exciting! Primary characters are great, but getting more of the background designs to fill out the scenes is awesome and we've recently got some Badniks I was eagerly waiting for like the Burrobot, Newtron, and most recently the Caterkiller!! Eggman's army is packed to the brim though with all kinds of robotic enemies, and these are five more I hope to eventually see! 5. Jaws The Chopper is not the most posable of the Badniks that we've gotten so far (not that many are very posable to begin with), but it is such a classic design from the series and another underwater enemy would be the Jaws. With Jakks Pacific steadily working through giving us little playsets themed around different levels, a set themed around the underwater sequences would be the perfect way to get this guy into the line. 4. Top 5 most wanted Mattel Hammond Collection dinosaurs

The Hammond Collection looks to be the collector's dream for an articulated, highly accurate line of dinosaur figures! We're getting lot's of iconic and fan favorite creatures in the line's first year, with more great figures sure to be in the line's future! (Image Source) 5. Pteranodon The version of this dino that we got from the Amber collection was pretty spot on; however, we've got a new scale to work with and so I'm needing myself a new collector's line Pteradon to fit in with the rest of the Hammond Collection we've been building up to this point!
