Top 10 most wanted Mega Construx Johto Pokemon
Unlike almost every other Pokemon generation, I have never really played the Johto region games. I started at Firered and Leafgreen and so I missed Gold and Silver, and then when the remakes of those games came out I never got around to picking them up. I can't say I have a true Johto player in that regard, but I have gotten plenty of exposure to the Pokemon from that region from all of the other games, from the Sevii isles in Firered and Leafgreen, to the Pokemon Colosseum games, and just random Johto Pokemon being placed throughout all the games. Plently of the Pokemon from this region stick out to me, and so naturally there are some that I want to have in brick form from Mega Construx's line of Pokemon sets. And so just like my list of top ten Kanto Pokemon I hoped to one day build, here is my list of top ten Johto Pokemon
Honorable mention: Shuckle
Shuckle is weird, there's no other way to say it. Its strange yellow worm-like appendages are odd to me, and the dopey look on its face makes it look more cartoonish than most other pokemon, but it's exactly that weirdness that makes him stand out to me. He didn't beat out any of the others on this list, but I still love Shuckle, and I hope to have his weirdness present among my other sets one day.

10. Sudowoodo
I adore its preevolution Bonsley, but Bonsley is not a Johto Pokemon and so Sudowoodo is here in its place. Sudowoodo still holds a strong place in my heart though, as I remember in Pokemon Emereld running across the odd tree in the Battle Frontier, and finding out that it was actually a Pokemon after watering it. It was shocking, surprising, and I had never seen a Sudowoodo before so it was one of the only moments I remember running into a Pokemon I hadn't seen before that truly shocked me. Its design is simple, and appealing, and Sudowoodo strikes me almost like an awkward teenager who doesn't know what to do and is just trying to fit it. He'd have a home in my collection for sure.

9. Hoppip/Skiploom/Jumpluff
I love grass type Pokemon, and I also really enjoy gentle, peaceful, cute Pokemon that may not be totally great in battle but look great nonetheless. That applies to this evolutionary tree. Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff are three that just seem carefree and loose to me, and watching my brother play Pokemon Go made me somehow fall in love with these three. He came across a Hoppip one day, and I don't know, just the thought of these three little beings floating through our world and across fields was something that seemed right to me. I have never used them for battle, and they don't seem like they would be useful in battle, I would just like them to float and smile and be themselves as the wind blows them through the sky.

8. Smeargle
Have I mentioned that I am an artist? Well in elementary school the kids adored me because I could draw and recreate images like a photographer, and while I don't draw as much anymore besides an art class in high school, I still really enjoy it. So then it shouldn't be a surprise that being an artsy kid, I was drawn to an artsy Pokemon during my playthroughs. I never thought he was very useful, being that his only move when I had him was to recreate the alternate Pokemon's moves which never worked out in my favor, and so he never ended up being on my team for long, but the design of this pocket monster was one that made him jump out from the rest, and I imagine him kicking back and relaxing as he tries to paint a scene, or maybe vandalizing something with graffiti art, I could see him doing that as well.

7. Cleffa
A lot of the Pokemon that I include on my most wanted list end up being Pokemon that I think are cute. If they're strong and powerful that's great and all, but I play Pokemon more for the designs of the Pokemon themselves rather than trying to build ultra powerful beasts that fight one another. If they're not strong, I don't really care, as long as I like how they look and Cleffa is a real cute Pokemon that fits that description. It's pretty simple, and if it weren't for those brown ears I would probably write it off as not that interesting to look at; however, its a small, round ball of cuteness that evolves into a Pokemon that is found on my most wanted Kanto Pokemon list.

6. Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion
Since I have never really played through a Johto game I never had one of the starter Pokemon from those regions for long, but out of the three I knew I would always want a Cyndaquil. Fire types usually aren't my go-to type for the starter, but Cyndaquil just looks cute to me with its long nose and closed eyes, and it gets cooler once it evolves and becomes a blazing animal that looks capable of burning down any evil team base. The main draw for me here is how I imagine the build for this starter and his evolution, with the fire along their backs surely going to be a creative and fun thing to put together when these sets inevitably come out.

5. Delibird
Pokemon Stadium for the Ninetendo 64 is the reason for this odd bird being on the list, as its mini-game where it throws presents at you was always a favorite of mine growing up, along with its obvious cues towards christmas and Santa claus. The colors of this Pokemon appeal to me with its red and whites, and the way that it uses its tail like a bag was a cool concept that made this Pokemon stick out to me even more. I never got to have a Delibird in any of the games (Seems like I say that for a lot of Pokemon) but I would love to have a Mega Construx version for myself, and to see how they build his tail/bag.

4. Dunsparce
In the Firered and Leafgreen games, I recall being able to find Dunsparce in only one location, this out of the way patch of grass on a secluded ledge after you pass through a small cave. Dunsparce also seemed to be the only Pokemon you could find in that patch of grass, and ever since finding that I just had a soft spot for this strange Pokemon. For the longest time I was sure that it was something rare and special due to its exclusivity in the game and what you had to go through to get to it, but while I found out that it was just another regular Pokemon I still adored it for its unique design, interesting backstory of being based off a snake-creature said to live deep within a Japanese mountain, and I continued to use it throughout my playthrough of the Sevii islands.

3. Girafarig
I would like to preface this selection by saying that if it had its original design (seen on the right) Girafarig would certaintly be even higher on the list due to how wild it is, but as it stands I love the design of this Pokemon and its a strange one that looks odd and stands out to me. I used to think that the head on its tail was just for show, but apparently it is a living part that keeps watch from behind, and picturing that thing alive and moving is extremely creepy for me. There isn't a whole lot to this Pokemon's design aside from the head on the tail and the coloring options, but Girafarig is a people I think looks cool, and would definitely provide a good time building in brick form.

2. Celebi
Out of all of the legendary Pokemon from the first two generations Celebi is my favorite after Mewtwo and Mew, I just love the design of this peaceful forest fairy and its connection to nature is definitely a plus for me. Pokemon 4Ever wasn't my favorite movie, but this little guy is certainly a delight for me to watch and his connection to the Gamecube Pokemon Stadium and XD games were always really cool for me to hear about. It wouldn't be the biggest Pokemon set, and probably wouldn't have the most complicated build being such a small Pokemon; however, Celebi menages to snag this spot by being one of my favorite legendary Pokemon and having a cute, pleasing design and interesting lore.

1. Ampharos, Mareep, Flaaffy evolution tree
When I first started making this list, I had no idea who would end up being in the number one spot. I struggled with choosing, and initially Mareep made the list on its own on a lower spot...but then I started to look more into the evolution of this adorable little sheep, and Flaaffy and especially Ampharos began to steal my heart. I love sheep already, and a evolution tree based around the fluffy creatures has been a delight for me to learn about. I never had a Mareep long enough to evolve it, and so like the usual, the Pokemon I want are ones that I never actually had. Ampharos is a cute, well designed Pokemon that certainly looks the part of a mighty yet gentle pocket monster. A three back of these Pokemon would be perfect for me, though having a Mareep in a Pokeball set and then receiving the others later on would work for me too, as long as I can get them. Mega Ampharos is another thing I have no personal exposure too, but that mane of hair is as magestic as it gets, and makes an already beautiful Pokemon even more gorgeous to look at. I never expected that an animal as tame as a sheep could be designed into such an awesome Pokemon, but then again, that's what Pokemon does best!

In the end, my list of most wanted Johto Pokemon end up being an assortment of lower tiered, first evolution Pokemon that most players probably rush to evolve or overlook entirely; however, I find these Pokemon cute and fun, and for someone who has never truly had a Johto playthrough, these are the Pokemon I think I would find myself using most. From the awkward Sudowoodo, to the odd Dunsparce, and to the awesome Ampharos, Mega Construx could make no better choices to me when it comes to Johto sets.
