NECA gave us a huge surprise this year with the reveal of a full range of action figures for the Back to the Future franchise! This is definitely one of the most popular franchises out there and I didn't know that I needed action figures for it until now! So far we've had a couple of reveals in the form of Marty from the first movie, Marty in the second movie, Marty in his spaceman costume, and then Biff from the first movie. The movies don't have the biggest cast that are ideal for action figure treatment, but I've thought up five from the three movies that need to come into the line after these four!

5. Part 2 elderly Biff
The first on my list is going to be the version of Biff from the second movie when Marty traveled into the far future, where Biff was a loser and grew up to be a hobbling old man who then cheated his way into making his past self a millionaire, therefor changing his own future! Biff is certainly one of the biggest characters from the franchise and an older version of him would go along great for set ups of him visiting the younger version of himself that we're already getting; and the cane would be a needed accessory.

4. Part 3 Marty
The heavy western vibe of the third movie probably makes it the most prone to action figure designs as cowboys have always been action oriented figures, so I doubt it will be much longer until we get Marty from the third film. He seems to be the main player in this line with three figures already, and the third film is the only one we don't have representation for yet.

3. Buford Tannen
Speaking of the third movie, the villain of the third movie would be great as well to get into the line! Having a set up to show the showdown between these two characters would work perfectly and it would be another Biff in the line even if it is his great ancestor. Again, we also don't have any figures for the third movie yet which is one of my favorites of the trilogy.

2. Part 2 darkest timeline Biff and Griff
Talking about my third version of Biff so far, this is certainly one line where they can give us the same characters over and over again and it be completely fine in my opinion. Each version of the characters are so different from one another, and especially in the case of Biff his looks were wholly unique from one another. This rich version of Biff from the future would go great as another Biff in the line, and I also have to mention Griff from the far future who would make for an even better action figure with his futuristic look and ridiculous headgear.

1. Doc Brown
There really isn't any other character who would take this top spot aside from Doc Brown. He is definitely one of the most well remembered parts of this franchise and one of the most beloved characters from the series. He is the one who creates the time machine in the first place and many of his lines and scenes are stand outs from each movie, in particular his scenes connected the cables atop the clock tower in the first movie. I can't imagine that it will be too much longer until we get a version of Emmett Brown in the line, and it can't come fast enough!
