5 Random Villains I want to see in Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line

While the heroes are pretty cool, the villain side of things has always housed some of my favorite characters and designs in DC Comics which is probably why projects like Suicide Squad appeal to me so much. Mcfarlane's DC Multiverse line from the start has been generous with villain figures throughout the run so far; however, as of late they've been dipping into quite obscure and random villains which I am more than ecstatic about! I was not expecting at all to be getting figures of Sportsmaster, Hugo Strange as Batman, or Dr. Tyme of all people! While Platinum figures are a hassle and a headache to track down there's no doubting that the spectrum of characters we can see released has certainly been opened up. From Blackfire to Effigy to Manhunters we are seeing all kinds of villains slotted into the line so far, and with this list I'm just going to ramble on about five random villains I'd like to see in the line!

Zebra Man

My first exposure to this character was the 2019 Suicide Squad series where he didn't have a major role; however, was pretty much always present throughout acting as a failsafe body-guard for Lok. The most we got in the way of characterization for this stoic character was his confession that he truly loves Zebras by the end of the series, but he still made an impression on me for his zany design that is matched up to an actually intimidating physique. Currently there isn't a body-mold in the line that I think really fits this kind of physique, and I'm hoping to see a basic body mold that is taller and beefier put into the line soon for characters like Zebra Man and Major Force for example.

AI Thinker

The dream would be for this figure to be entirely made of translucent plastic with the numerals painted overtop. The reality is that if we ever get this design as a figure in the DC Multiverse line it will more than likely appear just as it does in the photo with a molded green body mold that can easily be recycled from the Knightfall Batman or Booster Gold molds. I just hope that the painted details of the numbers is actually splattered throughout, unlike the clocks and rags of recent figures such as Clock King and Ragman who were left with naked backs...

The Top

It is hard to believe that it has taken this long for Mcfarlane to delve into the Rogues proper with a mainline DC Comics Captain Cold coming out next year (previously all we had was Cold and Heatwave based off a Page Punchers design). As many evil speedsters as we've gotten in the line it is high time to start building out the other foes of Flash, and Top would be an extremely easy one to put out there. Naked body mold with painted green and yellow stripes, possibly re-use the tornado effect we've seen now from DCEU Cyclone and Red Tornado, and we'll have a winner!

Killer Moth

As the Batman villains keep on coming there are a few I'm expecting more and more to be on the horizon. Killer Moth is one of those villains, with his design lending itself to easy re-use of one of the basic body molds in the line except with wings and colors that would instantly make it stand out. He is one of Batman's less-serious villains amongst the fanbase but I still love the character.

Yellow Lantern Army Builder pack

It seems lately more than ever that Mcfarlane is paying special focus to the Green Lantern side of the DC Universe with SO many figures and designs produced from that franchise. The latest Green Lantern Corps Collectors Edition figure is one of the coolest releases in the line to date with excellent accessories for ring constructs, and then a plentiful selection of heads throughout the main release and Platinum edition that grant us FOUR new Green Lantern members in total! This can easily be applied to the Yellow Lantern Sinestro Corps and would be a beautiful companion piece to the Green Lantern release. The Yellow Lanterns are very popular in DC lore, and have many humanoid members to make this kind of release and re-use work! From this picture alone we have Maash, Tri-Eye, Romat-Ru (who fans have already been making customs of out of the Tomar-Re head and original Sinestro release), Low, and Murr the Melting Man! We already have a Sinestro Corps body mold in the line from the original Sinestro release, and the terrifying alien designs of the Sinestro Corps could make this release even cooler than its Green Lantern counterpart!
