Anticipations for NYCC
It feels like SDCC just happened but we're already only a couple weeks away from NYCC! I rank it as one of the three big toy convetnions of the year where we get treated to new reveals from several of the big companies that lay out where the next few months are going to lead us. As always, my eyes are on a few different toy providers to see what they're offering for the holiday season and beyond, and here I will go over what I'm expecting from each line I collect.

Mcfarlane
Starting with McFarlane, this one is a catch all of the different lines the company provides. I think they've really stepped up their offerings recently with several new licenses, and greatly improved articulation. Of course, their Fortnite line is going strong, but I'm interested to see what characters they pull out next for their Mortal Kombat line, and of course I'm excited to hopefully see wave 2 of the Harry Potter figures! The line had such build up at the start of the year and I hope that continues with at least an official announcement of who makes up the second wave! The big thing that the company has to show though is their DC action figures. They acquired the license at the start of the year and continuously said we might see them at each of the big conventions, with NYCC listed as the most probably reveal period. With 2020 right around the corner, the time seems right for the line to be fully unveiled, as Mattel has also basically finished up their releases.

World of Nintendo
Continuing on with a more depressing topic. World of Nintendo has basically died over the past couple years, with a brief resurgence of life earlier this year only leading into a wave of all Mario repacks. The hopes of seeing non-Mario characters is small, and even the hopes of seeing new Mario characters has come up short as well, with repacks dominating the line. Hopefully the line can turn around soon, because at this point it is hard to get excited.

Dragon Ball Super Dragon Stars
I'm not sure if we'll see anything for this line at NYCC. We recently got the online reveal of the next wave that includes Krillin and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, which come out in the next few months so unless they reveal the wave coming out several months from now I can't say for sure whether or not we'll see anything new. I would love to see the next wave though, as the new approach of doing primarily all new characters and molds has made the line soar and I hope characters like Caulifla, Toppo, and Super Buu are on the horizon.

Neca
This company has always made good shows out of their reveals, with each of their products being of high standards. They hinted already at seeing more Ninja Turtle products and Gremlins at the show, and I really hope that plenty of more Gremlins are revealed including releases of the cancelled line up from several years ago. When it comes to the Ninja Turtles, I'm still waiting for them to do the version of the Krang in his android outfit, though no doubt it would sell for a higher price point.

Marvel Legends
The main thing that I buy from Marvel Legends is the MCU figures, so with the last Endgame wave already revealed I'm not quite sure what else I'm anticipating as comic figures are basically impossible to predict. I would love for more MCU multipacks to be announced and released, especially figures like Abomination, Quicksilver, and Endgame final battle versions of Hulk and Thor. On the comic front, basically looking for lots of more X-Men characters like Toad, Avalanche, and Pixie, with Ulysses Cain being a huge want for me as well.

Power Rangers: Lightning Collection
This line started with a massive bang and has been rocking it since the very beginning. The figures are beautiful, filled with tons of articulation and a host of awesome accessories along with a whole variety of shows to choose from rather than being forced to focus on one show at a time like Bandai did. There are tons of great figures already, namely the villains, and I hope to get more of them in the future like Rita. I'm mostly anticipating the reveal of wave 3 given that wave 2 is now out and there's no more product revealed that we're really waiting to be released, so the horizon is a blank slate until Hasbro fills us in!

Mega Construx Pokemon
The reveals for this line have always been sporadic, with one year showing lots of products and then the next the same convention doesn't have a single reveal. So I'm not sure what to expect this year, but with all the revealed product already on shelves, Mega Construx is due to reveal more product for us to anticipate. At the very least, I'm expecting to find out what Series 11 of the Pokeball sets will be, because wave 10 has been out for a little while at this point.

Studio Series and Siege
I would make Studio Series its own entire slot but I feel like the showings for that line won't be that big at this convention, I don't think they even revealed anything at last year's NYCC as everything was revealed at overseas conventions. Maybe a couple of figures from wave 9, but I do think that the focus on the Transformers front will all be on the War for Cybertron line as Siege has all but ended and the next phase of the trilogy is due to start. I doubt they'd wait a couple months into 2020 to reveal the line for 2020, so NYCC seems like a safe bet for the reveal of the second portion of the line. A couple deluxes, voyagers, and leaders from the first wave seem appropriate, with at least a tease for the Titan class figure being a likelihood as well.

Star Wars: Black Series
This year has been really rough as a fan of the line. We've gotten several great, and I mean really great, releases the line with figures that were way overdue and molds that top out the game, but in terms of reveals we've been in a major dry spot. Everything from the first two waves were revealed last year, and everything for the final two waves are being kept under wraps by Disney and Hasbro. This means that at the convention events practically nothing was revealed at all. We saw Padawan Obi Wan in Toyfair, but then saw nothing at SDCC, which is one of the biggest conventions of the year! Force Friday and the release of the the next wave occurs during NYCC, so hopefully then we can actually get some reveals for whats coming up because nearly 10 months with only Padawan Obi Wan and a new Emperor being revealed makes the hobby seem very slow.
