Most Wanted DC Multiverse Signature Series figures

For me, the highlight of Mattel's SDCC panel concerning the DC Multiverse figures came when it was revealed that the DC Signature Series figure line (Of which the 1990s Flash and Kilmer Batman are a part of) is not strictly relegated to the older movies, but can touch upon more recent movies as well; including those from the current DC movie series that have already gotten Multiverse waves. Figures from recent movies that weren't included in the Multiverse line suddenly became a new possibility and are not completely passed upon by the line, and my mind immediately started to work on which characters I would want figures for. So going forward, this'll be my top 5 most wanted DC Multiverse Signautre Series figures, which probably some SPOILERS about the movies they come from.

5. Mark Hamill's 1990s Trickster

This will be the only one on the list that really fits in with the other older wave figures like John Wesley Shipp's Flash and Linda Carter's Wonder Woman, and it ironically is because of a more modern show. Mark Hamill basically plays the exact same character on the currently running CW The Flash tv show, just a little older, and without the history with Shipp's Flash. The Trickster from the new show is comical, killer, and entertaining; one of my favorite Rogues to appear throughout the entire show. I would prefer his 90s attire for an action figure though, it lends itself much more to the action figure world than the more recent suit and tie rendition, and the 90s suit even popped up in the new shop briefly which made it canon. I haven't seen a bit of the 90s television series, but Hamill's performance as the Trickster makes me want a colorful 90s Trickster action figure, and it would look fantastic posed alongside the recently released 90s Flash.

4. Screen Accurate Ares
I have to specify screen accurate for this one since the Wonder Woman wave included a Collect and Connect Ares, only it was based on concept art instead of the final design, giving us a figure that looked wildly different from what appeared in the movie. I was a big fan of the character in the movie, and his design was one that I also loved as it reminded me a lot of one of my favorite video games: Dark Souls. Ares was a powerful villain with strong motivation and a point behind his actions, and I should already have a figure of him on my shelf but instead I have to hope that the true version will come someday in this side-line.

3. Doctor Poison

Another villain from Wonder Woman who was not included in the Multiverse wave, Doctor Maru was an important secondary antagonist in the movie and a tragic character who seemed as vulnerable and weak as she did nefarious. While she may not have gotten the most development, she was a character that drew my attention whenever she was on screen and I actively wanted to know more about her and see more of her. It was this character in particular, along with a screen accurate ares, that was asked for when a fan asked Mattel whether Signature Series could touch upon the newer movies. Out of the two, Mattel said that Doctor Poison did have an interesting design that they would like to do, so plans may already be in place for her to be joining the figure realm soon!

2. General Zod
After all the movies released in the new DC series so far, General Zod remains my favorite since the beginning. He was a villain with truly understandable motives, who demonstrated that he felt remorse for the wrong things he did, gave us a realistic reaction to what its like to lose the one thing you're fighting for, and gave us a thrilling, atmospheric final battle that truly tested the Man of Steel. This character has already been done in Mattel's previous "Movie Masters" line; however, that figure always looked odd to me with an ill-likeness, weird proportions, and outdated articulation. Mattel has already shown that they're willing to redo figures that were done in Movie Masters with the recently unveiled Dark Knight Joker, so I have hopes that an updated release of the DCEU's first villain will be coming in the future.

1. Nam-Ek
Number one of my list is another villain from Man of Steel who spent most of the movie standing in the background aside from a single fight scene, that being the Kryptonian: Nam-Ek. If I really had to, I could get the Movie Masters version of Zod and Faora, but there has really been no figure for the third in their trio. The fight in Smallville was one of my favorite scenes of the movie because it showed Clark losing, it showed him being beaten by Faora and Nam who didn't hold back. The giant brute was a great surprise to see on screen, and his scenes of action were awesome to watch. I have always wanted a Nam-Ek figure, and because I feel like he is one of the more unlikely figures to be made in the near future that makes me only wish he was coming all the sooner.
