Top 5 wanted Steamforged Dark Souls The Board Game bosses

This is a bit of an odd duck of a post, as it pertains to a board game that I bet a lot of people don't know exists. Steamforged Games unleashed a highly popular kickstarter, and what has come from it is a game that I love playing and am so excited to be getting expansions and additional bosses in the next few months to make the game ever more expansive and replayable. Naturally, there were bosses not yet announced that I want to eventually face off against with my brothers; that is where this list comes in. Here will be the top 5 Dark Souls bosses that I want to be added to the Dark Souls Board Game.

5. Gwyn, Lord of Cinder
At the finale of the first game in the series you are brought face to face with the fabled Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder and king of Anor Londo, who stands between you and the flame. What follows is an epic, fiery battle with orchestral music that lasts throughout the next three games, and with a boss who tests the player after all previous challenges. Defeating him is satisfying and rewarding, as his defeat means that you have beaten the game and proven yourself against all bosses. Gwyn is sorely missing from the board game, and could provide a new, infuriating challenge that could be the end cap to any good run of the board game.

4. Demon of Song
An odd and random entry, but a boss that I found very creative and creepy. The Demon of Song lures in victims with an alluring song, only to reveal itself as a horrendous frog-like monster with a hauntingly human face. Having it in plastic form for the board game would be an awesome pleasure, if only for its striking appearance alone.

3. The Nameless King
One of the most interesting points of lore in the whole series in my opinion, along with a stellar two part boss fight puts the Nameless King at number 3 of my list. The player can find out for themselves that the Nameless King is Gwyn's banished son who aided the dragons against his father, and in the third game you find this boss among the dragon sanctuary where he helps care for the creatures. His fight is a challenging one, as you are first tasked with fighting him atop his dragon, and once you slay his comrade the Nameless King takes to his feet to fight you by himself; utilizing his dragon's power in his attacks. Fighting the Nameless King is a challenging feat, and his lore makes him one of the more interesting aspects of the series, so he would rightfully deserve an expansion pack for the board game.

2. Slave Knight Gael
With the Ringed City DLC for Dark Souls 3, Slave Knight Gael became the last, truly final boss in the Dark Souls franchise and he did not disappoint when it came to that title. The arena in which you fight him is massive, and the sight of him rushing from the far hills is an ominous, captivating sight as the game gives you time to process that he is coming for you. Once he does reach you, the fight is a rapid barrage of attacks and dodges that you must carefully enact to make sure you aren't slain within moments. He is a feat players found themselves struggling to defeat, and placing him in the board game would be making the addition of one of the greatest Dark Souls bosses of all time.

1. Sister Friede and Father Ariandel
The streak of Dark Souls 3 bosses rides right up into the number one spot with this incredible boss fight that truly tested those that played through the DLC in the third game. The operatic climax to the Painted World of Ariandel DLC pits you into one giant fight that is split into three separate portions in which you go up against Sister Friede and her Father Ariandel. The fight is ruthless, fast paced, and the sight of Ariandel himself is enough to keep you on your toes. This pair is in my opinion the best duo boss fight since Ornstein and Smaug in the first game, and it only shows that From Software pulled out the stops for their final Dark Souls game to give us some of the best boss fights in the whole series. Having models for Friede and Ariandel to place up against our players in the board game would be an awesome sight, and would make for a challenging fight that'd have me replaying the board game's expansion again and again.
