Top 5 most wanted Hasbro MCU Marvel Legends from Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals
With delays upon delays, Marvel's phase 4 movie line up has taken some time to really get going but we're now three movies deep and even with some more recent delays it looks like things are really going to get rolling once again! Marvel Legends on the other front has been rolling excessively hard and not slowing down one bit, especilly when it comes to the MCU figures which I'm a huge fan of! From Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals, the most recent MCU films, Hasbro has very nicely filled them all out with nearly every action figure worthy character from these films being made! That's especially impressive when it comes to the substantial cast of Eternals! Due to the relatively low number of potential figures to be made from these movies I'm lumping them all together into one big wishlist, with this being my most wanted Marvel Legends figures from Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals!
SPOILER warning!
I will preface by saying that I really didn't care at much for Dreykov in the Black Widow film as the primary antagonist. I didn't know he was going to be in the movie when I went in, and after watching it I honestly kept forgetting he had been there as there wasn't much for him to do to really catch my attention, other than his strange body pheromone plot device. Still, he is the only character really that we don't have an action figure of from the movie, and that's making my OCD itch.
The first post credit scene in the Eternals film introduces us to the man who introduces himself as Thanos' brother! Eros no doubt has a big future in the upcoming Marvel universe, between his notable background and his role as an Eternal working to help turn other Eternals against the Celestials, so I have no doubt that we'll be seeing an action figure of Eros turn up in the future.
Making a brief appearance in the Shang Chi film, I'm kind of surprised honestly that we haven't gotten a Wong figure yet after all these films! He has appeared in numerous MCU movies, with further appearances still lined up meaning he won't be going away anytime soon. He would work in so many displays at this point, so Hasbro better stop dragging their feet when it comes to this fan favorite.
This is really the only primary/secondary character from Shang Chi to not get a figure and I'm pretty saddened by that as Razor Fist had a really cool, comic booky design seeing as that one of his arms ended with a huge sword! He was involved a decent amount through the film, including the amazing bus fight scene, so I'm hoping that at some point Marvel goes back to give him his due, especially with his character still open to return by the end.
Now this is a character I know we will never get in scale compared to the other figures, but a substantial figure that's huge in stature similar to Surtur could be doable and I would buy that up in a heartbeat! Arishem and the rest of the Celestials that we saw during Eternals really put the universe in a new perspective and Arishem in particular played a crucial role in the movie! His rocky, ethereal design would translate into such a cool figure, even if Marvel wanted to simply do his head, hand, and shoulder line for a display type situation for the other characters (though still downsized because even that would be gargantuan).
I was over the moon when Abomination made a cameo appearance in the Shang Chi film! I seem to be one of the few fans who actually really enjoyed the Incredible Hulk movie, especially Abomination as the villain! While I'm still holding out for a figure based on Emil's depiction in that initial movie, I would very happily pick up a figure based on his most recent design as well, especially if this design is what we will see more of in the upcoming She-Hulk tv show!
