Top 5 most wanted Disney+ What If...? Marvel Legends figures vol 2

The finale to Marvel's What If...? animated series came and went recently, and I think the overall anthology style of the show really worked out and it was nice to walk into every episode fresh, not knowing quite what to expect. Bringing it all together by the end was a nice touch as well, and made the show feel meta when the boundaries between universes began to break. Hasbro's team of designers also wasted no time in giving us a slew of characters from the show! Nearly an entire wave consisting of a lot of the characters I had been hoping for in Captain Carter, The Watcher, Zombie Cap, T'Challa's Starlord, and the freaking Hydra Stomper as a huge deluxe figure! We also got Doctor Strange Supreme who held in my opinion the best episode of the series, and the most emotionally driven. Other figures like Heist Nebula and Zombie Hunter Spidey were both fun additions; however, made me question why we got them as opposed to some other more important characters in the series. With the entirety of my first wishlist for the show having been fulfilled, and the season wrapping up in its entirety, this is my revised list of most wanted Marvel Legends figures based on the MCU What If...? television streaming show!

5. Hank Pym's Yellowjacket
Episode 3 for me had one of the most intriguing premises as it followed a string of murders that laid waste to the potential Avengers recruits. It was darker than what had come before, very focused, and played a lot with the context of the MCU at that point in the timeline! Loki arriving in the wake of his brothers' death was a nice touch, especially when we got to see him go up against the murderer in the episode's climax: Hank Pym wearing his own version of the Yellowjacket armor.

4. Episode 8's Natasha and Clint

More recently Black Widow has lucked out with getting some pretty great figure representations, though I think her wastelands design from episode 8 of the series has inched its way near the top of my favorite costumes for her. I love the large shoulder pads, the gruff, worn torn look, and giving her the Red Guardian shield as an accessory would be perfect! To go along with her Clint would be a must have, especially so when the history of Hawkeye in the Marvel Legends MCU line has been very spotty and leaves a lot to be desired. His sacrifice was one of the best parts of the show for me, and with his robotic arm it begs this design of the character to be toyified.

3. Power armor Watcher
This was a surprising moment from episode 8 of the series as Watcher donned a sparkling set of power armor to aid him in his fight for survival against Ultron! It provides something extremely different from what we're used to, and would make for a much more action oriented and versatile figure of the Watcher than the statue we essentially got as a build a figure (though it looks fantastic).

2. More Zombies

While Doctor Strange Supreme is the figure I'm most looking forward to from a character perspective, Zombie Cap is far and away the most excited in terms of action figure presentation. It just looks like a really well done figure and toy, with details and sculpting work for days that make it wholly unique in the line. Marvel Zombies is an extremely popular idea for fans, and I'd buy literally any zombie figure they wanted to make next be it Hawkeye or Iron Man. My number one choice would for sure be zombie Wanda though, in all of her terrifying undead witch visage.

1. Infinity Ultron
Now this is the figure that I think the line is sorely missing out on. Episode 8 is easily my second favorite episode of the series, and seeing Ultron win and continue his conquering reign, eventually moving out into the Multiverse, was absolutely nuts. His trademarked sassiness was great to see once again, and his realization of the Watcher and subsequent battle is one of the biggest 'holy crap,' moments of the series! His design is simply awesome as well, with the Infinity stones buried in his chest, a long cape billowing behind him, and what would have been Vision's head cradled inside the maw of an Ultron-esque helmet. The main villain of the show's first season needs a figure now.
