Top 5 most wanted Super7 Godzilla Ultimates! figures from the Heisei era

Super7's line of Godzilla Ultimates! figures looks to be vying for one of the best Godzilla action figure lines of all time! The line up of monsters and designs so far have been epic, ranging from franchise favorites like Burning Godzilla and Destoroyah, to more surprising choices like Biollante's Rose form and the meltdown Burning Godzilla! The six figures revealed so far though share one thing in common and that would be that they all hail from the Heisei era of the Godzilla series, arguably some of the best films from the franchise! With wave 1 due to finally start hitting our shelves in the near future, here's the Heisei era figures I hope to see going forward in wave 4 and beyond!

5. The Return of Godzilla

After the Showa era found solid footing in a more light hearted, heroic Godzilla, the Heisei era decided to bring things back to its roots with The Return of Godzilla! A darker, more aggressive Godzilla who was envisioned once again as a destroyer and a threat to humanity. While it doesn't get as much love as the other films in the era, I really like this instalment to the franchise and while everyone will poke fun at this Godzilla's eyes I still think it was a great redesign for a more serious take. Including the Super X would be a fantastic accessory choice as well!

4. Moguera

This era of Godzilla films had a penchant for mankind building epic robotics and weaponry, from the Super X vessels, to the great Mechagodzilla we're getting in wave 2, to the drill faced Moguera introduced in Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla! This one was always one of the coolest mechs to come out of the Godzilla franchise, and we've so far yet to get into the Spacegodzilla film which definitely deserves some due!

3. Adult Biollante

I was surprised when it was Biollante's Rose form that got a figure first when the line was revealed; however, thinking about sizing and pricing it makes sense as the adult Biollante would certainly be much larger than the typical Godzilla Ultimates! With Destoroyah setting a new size and pricing precedent though I could easily see them bringing Biollante's adult form into the line and I would love it. This monstrous plant creature has always been one of my favorite Toho kaiju, and I can't wait to see what Super7 can do!

2. Spacegodzilla

There has not been a wave yet that has not included a Godzilla, and just like wave 2 giving us both a Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, Super7 could easily double dip again to pair Godzilla with Spacegodzilla for a wave! Spacegodzilla is no doubt one of the most wild monsters that Godzilla has found himself facing in the franchise, and with the spectacular details packed into a complicated design like Destoroyah I know that Super7 could knock it out of the park with Spacegodzilla and the menagerie of crystals along his body.

1. Mecha King Ghidorah

The absolute king of Godzilla rivals is one we definitely need to get in the line sooner rather than later! King Ghidorah is one of the most iconic foes of the big lizard and commands an epic presence with a terrifying design: three heads, a massive wingspan, and dazzling gold scales! The Heisei era rebooted King Ghidorah as a creature manufactured to level Japan, and in the same movie was revived after it's death by Godzilla as a force to be used to defeat Godzilla himself! The plot lead us to one of the greatest things in the Godzilla franchise, that being Mecha King Ghidorah!
