Top 5 most wanted Transformers Rise of the Beasts Studio Series figures

The trailer for the next big Transformers film is finally out and looking awesome. I cannot wait to see the further exploration of the new universe started in 2018's Bumblebee, not to mention the introduction of the Maximals! The trailer doesn't spoil much of the movie which I appreciate, but it does give us a lot of looks at the new characters and new designs for returning characters, and I have no doubt that Hasbro will be all over these designs for their Studio Series line! Hopefully we get these movie characters at a faster pace than we did the Bumblebee movie designs, which we only really started pumping through this year, and with my initial reactions to each of the designs we got to see these are my current top 5 most wanted Transformers Studio Series figures from 2023's Rise of the Beasts!

5. Wheeljack

We really don't get a good look at Wheeljack in his bot mode aside from a shot at his backside, but we've gotten plenty of looks at his Volkswagen bus mode which I think is such a cool alternate mode for one of these Transformers to have! We so often get sports cars and plain cars that something like the VW bus is really unique, and I'm excited to see how that translates to Wheeljack's bot mode once we get a good look at him!

4. Cheetor

This is another character we don't get a clear look at for the bot mode, but the image of his cheetah form running alongside Bumblebee's alternate mode is one of the most tweeted pictures from the trailer I've seen. It looks awesome, and I love the robotic design of the cheetah they've gone with!

3. Battletrap

One of the main villains of the film, and one whose orange tow truck alternate mode has been revealed for months by the director before, Battletrap is shown a few times in the trailer and looks absolutely epic. I can't wait to learn more about his role in the movie, and learn more about his character! His alternate mode will make for a really cool design of the toy, similar to the Legacy Scraphook coming out, and the orange will really pop on the shelf as an uncommon color for Transformers!

2. Optimus Primal

There is absolutely no way this will not be one of the first figures we get for the movie when it comes out! Optimus Primal is finally making his live action big screen debut and I could not be more excited! The scenes from the trailer look awesome and there's so much I'm looking forward to from the character from his interactions with Optimus Prime, the explanation of how his character works in this continuity, and just all the giant robot gorilla fun that will no doubt ensue!

1. Scourge

The big bad of the film himself; we do not get much from him in the trailer but what we do get paints Scourge as a sick looking Terrorcon who will no doubt pose a big threat to Optimus and the others. There's so much about the characters design that I love, from his faceplate being a direct homage to his Terrorcon insignia (similar to IDW's Tarn fashioning his own faceplate from the Decepticon logo), to his wild looking Mad Max truck mode, to the fact that it will just be refreshing to have a big Transformers tale where Megatron/Galvatron is not the main villain like we had with Lockdown in Age of Extinction!
