Top 5 most wanted Black Series figures based on Andor (Disney+)
5. Aldhani rebels
I would take this whole team in a heart beat. I love team driven story arcs in the vein of the Aldhani mission and Rogue One, both of which did not go well for the survival rates of those involved. Vel Sartha is the obvious one to start with as she is one of the show's leading ladies, but I'm hoping we one day get the others to go along with her and the Aldhani Cassian figure we got! Nemik, Skeen, Gorn, Cinta, and Tamaryn were all great characters that I enjoyed watching and learning about!
4. Saw Gerrera
Not necessarily playing any big role in the story itself, it was still a lot of fun to see Saw Gerrera again and get his interactions with Luthen which not only gave us more great paranoid Saw scenes but helped to flesh out Luthen's role in the rebel cause as well. As always, Saw's design is one of the coolest in any given series and I would love to get his Andor look at some point. Though hopefully it'd be sooner than how long we had to wait for his Rogue One design to be made.
3. Dedra Meero
These next three are the big heavy hitters I think the line is severely lacking at this point, and we're starting with the persistent and ruthless Dedra Meero! It was so exciting to watch her at the start of the series moving through the ranks of her Imperial job and really sticking it to her coworkers who were pushing her down at every turn...then she started achieving her goals, torturing Bix and other characters, and all that excitement I had for her succeeding turned into horror when we were reminded that she is an Imperial, and a terrible person. But what a ride her story arc was and I can't wait to see more of her in season 2!
2. Kino Loy
Aside from the Aldhani mission arc, the prison escape arc on Narkina 5 is one of my favorite story arcs in the series. Everything about the design of the prison painted a harsh, sunless environment while the mysterious storyline itself regarding the prison, what they were building, an entire floor being wiped out to keep things quiet, all of this lead up to a thrilling escape sequence and one of the series' most tragic moments. Kino Loy was basically the secondary protagonist through this arc, playing perfectly by Andy Serkis, and he is another example of the series giving us an enriching, deep character to root for, care about, and ultimately feel a gut punch when he doesn't escape in the end...
1. Syril Karn
My favorite character in the series is hands down Syril Karn. I absolutely loved watching him legitimately be the good guy from most perspectives! Two coworkers of his were murdered, and so he bypasses lazy management and finds the killer only for Cassian to then kill more of his coworkers, leading to his firing, moving back in with his mom, taking a crummy desk job while still searching however he can for Cassian, and throughout all this showing nothing but unflinching loyalty to justice and what's right. We know Cassian's side of the story, but to Karn he is just trying to find and bring to justice a killer, and the crazy part is that he isn't wrong or mistaken. Karn really isn't truly a villain, just a man trying to do the right thing. He also had what were clearly action figures in his room, and that alone makes him my favorite character!
