Top 5 most wanted Marvel Legends from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
The final film of Marvel's 2022 slate and phase 4 slate overall has come out, and they definitely saved one of their best for last. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was an emotional journey honoring Chadwick Boseman and I think the film's exploration of grief and how we deal with it was fantastic. All of the characters were standout, and Shuri herself has no doubt been elevated ten times as a character fit to wear the Black Panther mantle! Hasbro's Marvel Legend lines gave us a solid offering of designs from the movie, checking off major characters like Namor, Ironheart, and Shuri herself in her Black Panther suit, but there's still a few more possibilities to round out the figure display for the movie...
5. Valentina Fontaine
This character has been building up to something ever since she first appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and I was glad to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus get to use more of her charisma for a larger role in this movie. With so many appearances under her belt already and more to come (Especially in the Thunderbolts film) I'm sure at some point we'll get this shady character in the line.
4. Queen Ramonda
This is a character who really stuck out to me a lot more in this second film, and I think they used her well as one of the emotional centerpieces. All of Wakandan fashion is striking, but her attire as Queen was always one of the most attention drawing designs in the Wakandan culture, and with her husband already being included in the line as part of the second wave of figures for the first film, it would be fitting to have Queen Ramonda to go along with him.
4. Midnight Angel
A storyline I was not expecting at all was Okoye and her demotion from head of the guard, it was a surprising and dramatic turn that gave us an emotional journey for the character and ultimately got her into one of the coolest designed suits in the film. Shuri's Midnight Angel battle armors didn't get a lot of play, but they were very useful and I hope to see more of them in the future!
3. Namora
No doubt some of the most intruiging designs in the film came from Namor and his people themselves, and Namora and Attuma do a great job translating those designs to figure form. Both are some of my favorite figures to come out of the movie line for Wakanda Forever, and I'm really hoping to round out their trio from the film with a Namora figure at some point!
1. Ironheart Mk. 1
Making her MCU debut was Ironheart, and while the biggest push for her was her Wakanda suit she acquired at the end of the film which has already been made into a figure, I'm actually hoping more for her Mk. 1 suit to be made in the line at some point! It was much more Hodge podge and industrial looking, similar to Tony's Mk 1. suit, and with the character going on to make further appearances in the MCU I hope we at some point go back to get her first suit we saw her utilize.
