Top 5 wanted Transformers Rise of the Beasts Studio Series figures vol 3

While the last Transformers movie saw a very staggered release over a few years when it came to representation in the Studio Series line, with the brunt of the Cybertronian Autobots only coming out last year, Rise of the Beasts is a different story as nearly the entirety of the Cybertronian cast has been captured in this year alone! We've gotten all of the primary Maximals, the villainous Terrorcons, and pretty much the whole Autobot cast rounded out as well! There's a few more needed though to wrap up Rise of the Beasts in the Studio Series line, and with Hasbro's promise of more figures from the film coming out next year I hope that the rest of these characters become a reality!

SPOILERS going forward!

Honorable Mention: Ragtag Mirage

This isn't a form we get a good look at in the mid-credits scene; however, it is a safe assumption that Mirage's robot mode will look pretty similar to his appearance before albeit with a much more ratty color deco to match the ragtag look of his vehicle mode. It would be a cool recolor redeco, but also a possibly ideal pretool if they want to give us a more sleeker, accurate Mirage mold to eventually use as a 2.0 regular release!

5. Scorponok drone

While nowhere as cool as the 2007 Scorponok, the drones we see in this movie were a neat drone faction working underneath Scourge and Unicron. They would go along well with the Freezer and Novokane drones we've been allowed to army build up to this point, and would provide much beefier opponents for the Maximals and Autobots to be posed against.

4. Apelinq

Speaking of the Maximals, this is one I didn't know was in the movie before going in to see it. The differences between him and Primal aren't extreme (Scourge even makes a jokes remarking "Didn't I already kill you?" when he sees Primal later in the film), but the more silver paint job and the wicked arm blades certainly do the heavy lifting for differentiating the two. We've gotten other bots with less screen time, and definitely less dialogue in the past, so maybe one day we can get a Primal retool into Apelinq to fully finish our Maximal line up.

3. Transit

Technically, this character doesn't exist as he was cut out of the film. He looked very cool though, had a rocking unique alternate mode (a bus!), and his deleted scene would've been one of the best fights in the film had they left it in! All that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Studio Series never touches this non-existant character; however, I'd love it if they did!

2. Stratosphere

Initially I would've said this character would've been out of place in the Studio Series due to his massive size, or that a Leader Class may be the route to go and just suffer him being incredibly out of scale. Then SDCC brought us the Commander Class to the Studio Series, and hopefully it'll be a yearly staple for the line like it has been for the Generations side of Hasbro's Transformers line. While even at Commander Class Stratosphere would be underscaled from what he should be, it would get a whole lot bigger than the other characters and that works well enough for me!

1. Wheeljack

I am honestly surprised that we haven't gotten a reveal for this character yet, as he has definitely been a fan favorite despite the initially polarizing response to his robot mode's head. Out of the Maximals, Autobots, and Terrorcons, he is the last remaining character from the "core" class not to be included in the Studio Series yet and I'm still patiently waiting for him to be announced as he was for sure one of the standout characters in the film for me. If not this year, I'm certain we'll see him next year in all his nerdy glory with the glasses and seatbelt suspenders!
