Top 5 Most Wanted Transformers: One Studio Series figures

The next film in the Transformers film franchise has hit theaters and what a fun ride it is! Crisp animation that is nice to look at, a breakneck pace that leaves little time for lulls, with commendable voice acting, and plenty of great characterizations to bring to life the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron! Studio Series has done a great job of burning through the main cast already with those two, Elita-1, and Bee already topped off, with a Voyager Class Sentinel Prime looking to be one of the best of the line up so far. Since Studio Series focused exclusively on transforming designs it may be the case that all of the cog-less designs from the movie won't see a release in this line (which would be unfortunate), which narrows down the pool of potential figures from the movie greatly. So sticking to those Transformers that were seen and known to Transform within the film, this is my top 5 most wanted Studio Series figures from Transformers: One!

5. Shockwave

While not the most exciting version of the character in terms of importance to the story or cool scenes (this version ultimately just fills out the background cast) Shockwave is always still an awesome design in Transformers lore and part of the core High Guard line up of characters. His comedic gags with Elita-1 was a fun dynamic, and I love just about any version of Shockwave they'd want to put out.

4. Soundwave

The iconic hypnotic drone of Soundwave's voice was so cool to hear on the big screen again, and while he did not have any of his iconic cassette's with him in this movie he still displayed lots of cool abilities such as being able to scan the cadence of other bots' voices and tell whether or not they're lying. His alternate mode was an abstract saucer that I wonder whether or not they take inspiration from the Studio Series Bumblebee movie Soundwave alt mode, though seeing it in action in the film itself was cool.

3. Starscream

Steve Buscemi was a delightful host for Starscream's new voice in this series, and as always the sly Seeker was a highlight. It is very difficult to mess up a Seeker's design, and yet again Starscream came out look sleek and deadly, with the potential for repaints and retools as high as every other iteration of the character. The once leader of the High Guard, and his army of Seeker repaints, would be a new bounty for the Studio Series to dig through.

2. Airachnid

These next two are the ones I'm really aching for, with Airachnid being a very cool deep cut choice for a villain in the film. Her slender, arachnid focused design coupled with her abstract helicopter would make for a unique figure amongst all the others, and one I hope they pull off well. With how slender both she and her alternate mode are I'm hoping that will complement an ease of design for an eventual figure.

1. Alpha Trion

What an awesome take on this character! No longer just a scholar and a scientist, but a giant horned wolf as well?! While his action scene was brief it was awesome, and the design is straightforward enough that even the mainline deluxe version of this character was able to pull off a pretty good looking toy interpretation of the character. A Studio Series Voyager scale figure would be the dream though; however, I'm not sure whether I'd prefer the damaged, mossed over design from the film or his clean, pristine look from the flashbacks.
